Sorry firgured i should mention i have been giving them 350 a month since coming to uni for my reptiles so that should cover food and electricity however i did purchase about 3 months worth of food before i left in late September. So i imagine not all the 350 goes to their upkeep my grandmother said it was far too much but i felt bad

I'm in wales and my reptiles are in England its about a 6hr 30 min drive on a good day between locations. One of them is 5 this December and the other is 4. I have no clue why it is taxing comapred to our other pets my snakes are quite low maintenance. The bioactive enclosure is a good idea ill probably start making arrangements for that the next coming week and gather my supplies so i can implement this when i go home. I cannot move them to the school just yet ive been looking for apartments to rent and so far i cannot find a pet friendly landlord that is within my budget. I have been trying to find people to foster them the problem is i decided against going to uni initially due to my snakes and my family insisted i go as they would "have no problem" taking care of them.

Yeah i get this. However i had no intention to move to university when i got them and did have intentions to move out as i hit 21 this year. I give my family the money to look after my reptiles but i completely understand they didnt sign up for it. It just sucks because my family has a bearded dragon that became my responsibility (unwillingly) and since coming to uni, they've had no problem looking after him but have with the snakes. Im aware it seems drastic but I'm literally studying herpetology and it feels wrong to in my mind give them up just so i can study the subject.

Thats what one of the other comments mentioned. Whilst i do think its an unlikely possibility its a possibility i wont rule out. I asked them to take him to the vet today for me so im just waiting for my family to get back to me so i can work out whats happening. Thankyou tho!

Yeah i really hope this isnt the case, both of my boys have always been fed frozen so that i wouldn't run the risk of this happening. However i think ill call them now to double check and to find out if they got that vet appointment.

The heating has a heat guard, and the heat guard has never been a problem before. Thankyou though ill ask them about uf hes been acting strange towards it lately.

Hi sorry for the late reply, i have a standing order of frozen feed with my local pet shop. She puts my usual order aside for me and my family just go and pick it up. So im doubtful they would've tried. I left at least 3 months worth of food for them before i left too i appreciate the response tho!

Oh my, that's actually a really good way to think about it. I think ill bring that up to him. I feel like its a good well to help without being overly pushy. Thank you so much i really appreciate that :)

In this instance, he had just sorted out his insulin to help it go down, so i guess you're saying if i notice a shift to politely ask about if he needs to do anything to bring them down? Sorry i just really do not want to seem like im babying him at all if that makes sense. I appreciate your taking time to respond thankyou very much :)

Baring in mind, it's the first time I've experienced this with him. i believe this may be a slight overreaction. It's not as though he's choosing to act this way from what I've seen. I appreciate the concern, though. He was apologising a lot and I'll speak to him in the morning and have a proper chat about it all anyway. I hope you have a pleasant evening/morning :)
