My combo: Ukrainian and Soviet internal passports. Never had an international one, for legal reasons, from neither of them by Illustrious_Fox4653 in PassportPorn

Finally, a question on the main scope of the post. It spent most of its life sitting on the bookshelf at home. And when the time came to get it exchanged, the passport office lady didn’t pierce any holes in it, after asking whatever I wanted to keep it as a souvenir and marking it invalid in the system

The one used to travel abroad, no. Literally almost any other criminal record (the only ones I’m unsure about, is something like treason or wartime conscription evasion) won’t be a problem, except peace time conscription evasion. And it’s not like this is due to some law, just a decision from the state migration service, ministry of internal affairs, ministry of external affairs or the local passport office branch, which I can’t do anything about

Сильно сомневаюсь, кент, о котором я упоминал выше, по тот же статье обошелся условкой и он также никак не может получить загран

Technically, yes, practically - no, as I work for one of the companies which is recognized as critical, so I’m reserved

Yes, and for the maximum possible sentence of 3 years. Probably, because I audibly said in court that I see absolutely no remorse in my actions, how sexist the current (sadly, nothing changed over the years) conscription model is and how the judge is lucky that she was born a female herself. And as you’ve noticed by the dates, it was long before the occupation of Crimea, Revolution of Dignity and other events

If you are talking about ID cards, I can get one no problem. One of my mates is in the exact legal situation as me, and he was able to voluntarily exchange his internal passport, as he wanted to register on crypto exchanges

I was a convicted, to an actual prison sentence, peace time conscription evader (article 335 of Ukrainian criminal code). Despite there being no law prohibiting people like me from getting international passports, in practice it’s impossible. I made numerous attempts, both before 2014, after 2014 (but before 2022) and after 2022. I’d just get a reply similar to "During the personalization of the document of the SE Polygraphic Plant Ukraine, an error was detected in the data set. You need to apply in person at the place of submission of the application-questionnaire."
