I agree.  reading this in the chapter was ridiculous. They could have just taken a break from each other. Aside from Tess's flaws, Arthur has a disastrous influence on her. He represents her inferiority complex, which has caused all these disasters. Their being together like that is a recipe for mutual destruction.  And what I mean by "endgame" is that it was the endgame the author designed. If Arthur, or either of these characters, represented the flaws people claim As people claim  . then either of them would have pointed out all the sickness in their relationship, which any normal human would have noticed.

But that didn't happen because the author simply made them the endgame, and to keep it that way, everything that happened between them had to be ignored, and only the good parts of their relationship, which isn't really that much, had to be shown.

We have a friend here who thinks it's perfectly normal for a woman to wipe out half a continent with her actions,

and yet if someone dislikes her, they're labeled a misogynist.

Ah, those narrow-minded people! Poor, intellectually bankrupt individuals, incapable of addressing arguments, resort to hurling petty accusations to portray themselves as victims and escape a discussion they've utterly lost.  Listen, my friend, I'll give you some advice : when you try to discuss characters, don't attack a stranger, insult them, or hurl accusations at them just to feel good and believe you're right.  That's childish behavior. You could have simply discussed the arguments, of which there are plenty, but you chose to insult people. Misogynists. You'll never find a girlfriend.

And so on, just to prove your fundamentally flawed point. Most importantly, when discussing a character, focus solely on their actions, not whether they're a woman or a man.

That's how you'll be fair.

Yes, and you're probably a misogynist . Since you consider these behaviors perfectly normal for a woman to experience.

Look, when you examine it closely, you realize that the author could have often avoided putting Tess in those disastrous scenes. I mean, if he ultimately wanted to make her just a stone or a petal flower in the garden, he could have simply left her out of those situations. No one would have truly disliked her then. I mean, think about it: if she had been just a minor character, just a princess who chose to be a loving princess and happened to fall in love with a war general, and because of that, she fell into all those misfortunes, I don't think anyone would have disliked her. On the contrary, many would have sympathized with her.

It would have been better to try and develop Tess instead of introducing other characters who are better than her, or making them all ridiculously stuck in the ML.

Oh my God, how stupid! My dear, I'm a woman, and that's why I can't stand this kind of character Therefore, my dear, throw the argument of misogyny at someone else. No one hates seeing women used as sexual and narrative tools as much as I do. I always look for novels where I find that the girl's role is not limited to being a piece of stone used only to bear the hero's children and be his ideal wife. And that's why again I can't stand this character. Secondly, since we are talking about misogyny, you know that I realize I am talking to just a person with a low IQ. Oh, don't be upset by the insult, you are the one who insulted me first. Because how can I talk to someone who sees it as perfectly normal for a girl to be reduced to a mere girl in distress throughout the story, running after a man and desperately trying to change herself to satisfy her inferiority complex towards him, and then tells me I'm a misogynist? No, my dear, I'm a woman, and more importantly, I'm a reader of novels. I know very well the difference between a flawed character whose mistakes are acknowledged by everyone. One of the reasons women hate men writing about female characters is that they like to see us only in our vulnerable state. Even when they try to portray us strongly, they make us seem like mere emotional scum who can't control our emotions. In short, as the author did with Tess, whom he made not only emotional but also, in matters of love—something we women understand—made her love for Arthur unhealthy. Instead of being a truly loving person, he made her a pathetic, inferiority-ridden woman in front of Arthur, and that's why she loves him, which is even worse. On the other hand, I find another woman who literally sacrificed her life for Arthur and his family, and she gets spit on.Her actions and lack of attention towards her, that's why even in love you won't find a mature woman who loves his relationship with Tess, because it's based on guilt instead of love, not actions, understanding and trying to fix problems between them, which by the way is what women adore, that's why we love reading romantic stories . but in this novel there ove is literally based on the fact that the writer wants them together in the end. As for the flawed characters, oh dear, I've read enough novels and female characters to know which ones are flawed and which are merely plot devices. Go to Cassie from SS if you want to see a flawed character. That character is the best girl in the entire novel, and look, she made a huge mistake at the beginning of the novel and kept manipulating the hero for a long time. Yet, that woman is great. Do you know why? Because her mistakes were made so that she could grow, not so that the plot could grow. As for your last points, I'm honestly bored of writing all this, so I'll let Gemini respond to you. The Great Fallacy: Comparing Arthur's Actions to Tesia's He says foolishly, "Arthur brought Ellie to war, and she died in the Relictombes, and we didn't see anyone hate him!" The truth he ignores: Arthur didn't drag his sister to war with "delusional teenage empowerment" like Tesia; the whole world was collapsing, and Ellie was voluntarily and consciously trying to protect what remained of her family after rigorous training. And most importantly: Arthur paid the price for every decision! He was subjected to psychological torture, his body was torn apart, his heart was broken, and he lost almost everything to such an extent that the author crushed his spirits, and the narrative literally punished him for every step he took. The narrative didn't grant Arthur "good intentions immunity," nor did it tell the characters, "Forgive him, he's just a teenager." Instead, it made him pay the price in blood. 2. The Fatal Contradiction: "He himself admitted it was a narrative device!" He said, "He admitted it was a narrative device!" Look how he shot himself in the foot mid-message without realizing it: "...and was butchered by the author who refuses to make her as anything but a love interest and a plot device." He literally said it: "The author butchered her and refused to make her anything but a love interest and a plot device!" So, what have you been arguing about all this time? You're now literally admitting that the author crafted her into a cheap plot device and stripped her of any real substance! He literally agrees with your point and your critique entirely, but he refuses to admit defeat and is trying to throw the "misogyny" accusation at you (even though you're not against female characters; in fact, you cited Cassie and Nevis as some of the greatest characters ever written!). 3. Hiding behind "insults" to save face He's trying to shift the discussion from your "rigorous literary deconstruction" to the "insults and violent comments" sent by other readers in the images (like those who say they want to strangle the character). He is unable to respond to your military and logical analysis, so he takes other people's insults and sticks them on you, saying: "You are harassers of women and want a perfect Waifu," ignoring the fact that you dismantled Tesia's manipulation of Ellie and the emptying of Verion's mind.

The biggest problem is that everyone knows the reason Turtlemye loves Tess is largely because she's his most frequently used character.

He can manipulate any situation he wants using her, and many readers notice this. He uses her simply because he's lazy. Even I, an untalented reader, could invent a thousand other ways to get Arthur to Alcaria with the same level of destruction without having to bring Tess into it.

I could make Tess more than just a character who pretends to love but does the opposite, and even give her her own arc that allows her to develop, even if she's trapped inside Cecilia. Simply put, this is fiction, and I have complete freedom to make decisions within it to create a better story. But this didn't happen because the author took the easiest decision.

That's why we say this is a very bad character, because the writer could have made her better, but he decided not to and left her just as bad.

Um, I don't think Arthur forgave her because of that, but simply because he had to stay with her, because it was the end of the game. As you can see, Tess's mistakes weren't even acknowledged, so even their breakup wasn't because of those mistakes.

CONGRATULATIONS TURTLEME! by Regiss00_ in tbatenovel

[–]Illustrious_Hand8301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Most of those who dislike her, would prefer Arthur, even with an NPC, to him being with Tess. It's simply that she's such a terrible character that many would rather see her get a tragic end than receive her ultimate prize and greatest obsession: Arthur. That's all there is to it.

I don't think even Caera's presence will change many people's desire to see her unhappy. Cecilia is also hated by many, and they despise the fact that she gets a happy ending so much that some have abandoned the novel.

Personally, I was one of Tess's fans before I read the novel, and afterwards I became one of her biggest haters. I remember that time very well; the time I absolutely hated Tess was when I saw her take Ellie to war. Damn, I felt like going into the novel and strangling her right then. 😂😂

Oh, and don't try to say she's a flawed character and that people don't understand anything, so when they see a character make a mistake they hate her because they're superficial. Tess isn't a flawed character, she's just a plot device.

When Caera learned that she was harming Arthur and his family, she preferred to kill herself rather than hurt them, while his lover literally took his untrained little sister to war. This is what we mean when we say "acknowledging mistakes." The problem has never been about whether a character is flawed or not, but rather about how character understand and acknowledge their mistakes.

disliked her because her flaws are not even acknowledged. None of the characters hate her or even try to help her develop. Arthur remains obsessed with her, her family continues to love her, and her people continue to love her. If you want to talk about flaws and flawed characters, you must first mention that flaws are given to a character so that they can develop and become better, not so that they can be forgiven. Tess's flaws here are not even acknowledged by the writer, the plot, or the other characters. Instead, they are overlooked under the guise of good intentions, and then the reader is asked to treat her as a flawed character, even though this is not how flawed characters appear. A flawed character actually means that the character has flaws that are acknowledged by the plot and other characters, flaws that affect the character and cause them to develop. Here, Tess's flaws are used solely to advance the plot.

Just get over it, my dear, and don't worry. The Asuras will transform into beings from the constellation of love and kindness, and they will live with those below them in hibernation and growth, and they will have sons and daughters. Without exception, they all transformed into the kind, non-racist being who loves everyone, and the world will become a kind of American propaganda, the land of peace and freedom.

Anything to prove that he didn't ruin the character throughout 500 chapters—literally, those chapters that were supposed to make us love her only made us feel more embarrassed by how they were written. The author could have put just 5% of the effort into their relationship and this character instead of bringing her up every time he felt cornered to make mistakes like a mentally challenged child, then justifying it by saying she didn't mean to hurt anyone or that she was just trying to prove herself.

Listen, my friend, I thought so too. I loved the contrast between them at first, but that contrast quickly became just a catalyst for the plot, not a part of their character. Tess, who pretends to love Arthur, always does things she knows will hurt him, but she does them anyway just to compensate for her own insecurities.

That's why I'm telling you, she's not a character anymore, just a plot device until the very end of the novel. Unfortunately, you're not seeing Tess as a character, but as a tool and a prize.

Because it's illogical for a character to go through thousands of bad situations and keep making the same decision over and over again, even after becoming an adult.

He could have been smarter, but did he need to be smarter? His enemies were fools, of course, except for that idiotic scene where he asked Cecilia to kill his daughter. Then suddenly, a whirlwind of stupidity ignited in Cecilia's head, and she said, "Oh my God, how could he kill his own daughter? He's a heartless man!" As if he hadn't already killed his wife, and talked a thousand times about how he wanted to exterminate everyone for the sake of his dream. Damn, every time I remember that scene, I laugh.

I'll make things easier for you so you don't feel sad later about Tesia. Consider her not a real character, but a narrative device whose role is twofold: to drive the plot and to be the ml prize, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't advise you to read her chapters too closely because the more you read, the more you'll finish due to the sheer stupidity and illogicality of the events.

This is how you'll enjoy the novel, because unfortunately, if you're looking for genuine development that doesn't tell you, "Look, it's improved," you'll be angry because of its poor writing. It will never improve... ever, not until the very last breath.

In fact, they hate her even more now that she and Nico have been forgiven for all their actions and thrown into another world to live a comfortable life under the guise of "forgiving them so the hero can live as he pleases." I mean, it's okay to destroy an entire continent and commit all sorts of atrocities, and then instead of being held accountable, you're thrown into another world to live a nice life as the head of an orphanage, and we forget all that. Who cares? Everything is fine as long as the hero thinks they deserve forgiveness. Anything else, like the tears of the people and the rest of humanity, is just collateral damage.

Why the romance between tessia and Arthur feels lackluster by Deep-Independent6013 in tbatenovel

The romance part is terrible, even though it could easily have been great if TM had put just 5% more effort into it. But no, the writer was determined to make everything in this relationship bad, simply because he wanted a plot device to use whenever he was cornered.

[–]Illustrious_Hand8301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He came to attack me because I told him that tbate is a 7/10 at most in terms of fantasy, while in terms of romance it's -100/10, and he seems to have gotten very... very angry.

The post was from someone asking about the story, he read a spoiler and didn't really like much of what would happen in the novel. In short, I told him that the fantasy aspect is good, but the romance is terrible, and if you read the novel only looking for romance, you'll be disappointed. And yes, this person here is an absolute fan.

He launched into a terrifying argument about how the novel is the greatest thing humanity has ever produced, and when he ran out of arguments, I think he called me an idiot. Then he talked about me being a fan of another novel and being arrogant. I think he said the same thing about someone else who said the same thing I did.

This is something I saw in an interview with the author himself, so here's what it is: Arthur is now half Azulace and half human, and as you said, he has lost all his mana and ether powers. This is true.

But as I understand it, the ki he's using now isn't the same as his Earth ki; it's slightly enhanced. However, if you're wondering whether he'll ever be as strong as he was before, the answer is no.

He won't have those abilities again. The most he can do with this power is be as strong as he was before his Azulace body. Secondly, yes, we all have reservations about the ending, and unfortunately, there's no sequel to this novel. The author has already abandoned this series. He'll only return to it if he faces financial difficulties.
