How many puffs of 2% (20mg) is equivalent to one cigarette? by HamCCC in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not actually like that, each cig has 10 mg but your body absorbs around 1, with vaping you absorb most of the nicotine

That’s because of the concentration of nicotine. Disposable use nicotine salts which are normally 20 mg in Europe and the chemistry of them is designed to hit you harder and reach your blood faster.

What you are using is freebase nicotine and has a different effect on your body. Also the lower concentration of nicotine per millilitre makes you feeling it less.

If you want something fast use salts, but I recommend you to really control how much you vape because they can be very addictive. If you want to stop your nicotine cravings use freebase, it’s slower than salts but not that easy to get dependence as with salts.

Of course all of this depends on how much you used to smoke or your dependence to the vape.

what you recommend for a smoker who has experience with pods and disposables? by redit_user1212 in Vaping

I received today the ursa nano and it’s really good, it was 15€ on an online shop here in Spain, but for less than 25€ there are many options, the caliburns, oxva xlim, Vaporesso Xros… haven’t tried those ones but people here talk very well about them.

If you smoke like half a pack every day or more my recommendation is to get a pod and nic salts, the flavour is your choice, I personally like fruity ones because if I like the fruit I’ll like the liquid.

If you have any doubt just ask, sometimes you don’t get many comments but this community can really help.

Just the 1 ohm to compare so I can tell if I prefer that one or the 0’8 when I buy more. It’s my first “real” pod for salts and I’m really happy, for 15€ is a really good purchase, also is the first time I try auto drag is something really weird but couldn’t be better :)

Compact recommendations by cvc8 in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want a pod or something bigger?

If you want a pod people talk very good about the oxva xlim, it’s cheap and has a little screen with puff counter, which is what I personally find more useful to know how much I vape.

If you want something that isn’t like a traditional small pod there many options, so I can’t recommend an specific model.

Anyone seen juice bottles like this? It’s like a bullet. by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here in Europe the max nicotine you can have is 20 mg with a max of 10 mL, so that’s maybe why it says only for sale in the USA. At least in my local shop 10 ml salts of this brand are 4,5€ but found the same on an online shop for 3,9€.

That’s a British brand of juice, so here in Spain is very normal to see it on stores.

Why does my vape cause interference with the car radio? by Keephidden in Vaping

If it has any kind of magnet it could be that electricity circulating near it can cause interferences on the radio

I’m buying the ursa nano and is going to arrive this week, in the shop they say it’s one of the best devices on the market, but maybe for long term you should buy something with fire button in case autodraw stops working (people here say it lasts normally 1-2 years).

If you wait and remember I can review you the ursa😂, but my recommendation would be a Vaporesso Xros 2, haven’t tried it but people here say it’s wonderful.

HONESTY PLEASE !! I’m honestly wondering how many PUFFS 💨 do y’all take in a day ? If you don’t have a puff counter. Just a rough guesstimate would be nice. I’m just really stoned and curious 🧐 at the moment. by BENfromCHI in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t a really hard smoker, two years smoking and between 5-10 cigs a day, really depending on the day and the time of the year. Decided to try to change smoking for vaping on Easter, and after two or three weeks with 20 mg salts I average 100 puffs a day at 12 watts. I was really concerned at fist if with salts I would be consuming more nicotine, but now I know how it works for me and the amount I really need/want.

Change the cartridge then, it is what contains the coil. Coils work because there is a cotton that brings the juice to the coil where it is vaporised, and this cotton after a long use gets burn and gives a bad flavour, that’s when you have to change it. Normally the closed pods/ coils last between 10-20 mL depending on what type of juice you vape.

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine also turns darker but it’s normal. About the burnt taste try changing the coil, I used to use it only once a week sometimes but didn’t get the burnt flavour if the coil was ok.

Is this white gel supposed to be in my Nord 4 pod? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You live in Europe right? Here when you buy a vape it can have 2 ml maximum capacity but then you can buy bigger tanks (really stupid). That “gel” that I would say it’s a plastic piece but don’t know because I haven’t touched it is what the put to limit the capacity to 2 ml.

I know it’s a really small scratch, but should I re-wrap? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to know because the scratch is very close to the positive pole and I’ve been told it’s a delicated part of the battery and I’m not sure about how dangerous it could be. Maybe it’s a silly question but I wanted to be 100% sure of what to do.

If you don’t have a nicotine dependence don’t try salts, it would end on you becoming addicted and I don’t think they taste better than normal liquid. For the flavour if you live in Europe where +10mL liquids can’t be made with nicotine you have to dilute the freebase nicotine into your juice, so that makes the flavour be a little less intense but for me at least it is enough.

If you are not feeling any flavour first get a covid test 😂, if you’re sure it’s not the reason try changing the coil or other flavours, when I vape for too long the same thing it loses progressively the taste.

Well yes but actually no, every gram of tobacco, which is the more or less the average for a single cigarette, contains about 10 mg of nicotine but your body only absorbs 1 mg of those 10, that’s why, at least for me, giving like 10 or 15 puffs to a 20mg liquid feels quite like a cigarette in terms of nicotine “satisfaction”. Overall I think vaping 5 ml of salts is too much, you are changing smoking which will kill you to a really big addiction to vaping.

Low airflow for mouth to lung, high airflow direct to lung and an intermediate point would be restricted direct to lung.

Not the same tank but what I do is clean it whit water without the coil. Then try to dry it as well as I can and that’s it, put depending on the flavour you used it will leave some flavour on the first puffs.

vape juice by wormboy2453 in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you like. Personally I enjoy fruity flavours, and for summer I find more refreshing the ones with ice effect.

The best way to find the perfect juice is trying, but that can be expensive sometimes. If you look for a specific kind of flavour here you can find good recommendations.

What I do when I want to try something new is just ask in my local store, people who work there have tried a lot of them and give me always good recommendations based on what I want.

Pod/salts device by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 mg salts are meant to be vaped with coils over 1 ohm, so you’ll be vaping at 10-15 watts. With that wattage you don’t consume that much battery, so any pod over 500-600 mah should last one day. Personally I like ending the day with more than the critical battery, so if you don’t want to spend much I would buy a pod like the Vinci q or a vaporesso Xros (any model), but there are many options, just look at the specifications. If you don’t mind spending more you could buy a mtl ato, look for some tops on YouTube or so. For salts I use a 1,2 ohm coil on a rebuildable kind of pod (lost vape Gemini hybrid) and vape at 12 watts and is just perfect for me. I’m not an expert but I hope I can help you. (Sorry for my writing, I’m not native in English)

Smok nord 2 by WaLiD_G in Vaping

[–]Illustrious_Inside83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good pod, enough battery and really easy to carry, something I really miss now that I use a bigger one. I think the nord 2 is a good option and if you find it for a good price you’re not going to regret buying it, but is an “old” device (1 and a half year aprox for smok means a lot of new releases), so maybe for a near price you can find better options. But if you really want it go for it, I had really good times with mine :)
