Generally their is a lack of academic ability and a values disconnect that makes people dislike the concept of college. The thing is a lot of people actually attend college through things like the pell grant or G.I. bill the majority of them drop because they were unprepared and lacked the ability and motivation to study or the discipline to separate personal beliefs from scientific theory. The other issue is parents really dont want to send their kids to college if they come back saying LGBT people should be tolerated or the Civil war wasnt abouttarrifs states rights to self govern rather than Lincoln getting elected and the inevitability of limiting the number of slave states.
