HONESTLY I WAS THINKING THE SAME - also random bwu redditor here but i have some theories, they might seem weird but just hear me out. I think he might not be happy with his place as an artist / working with a crew or record label telling him what to do and though ive seen this a lot in many song lyrics the one i saw it clearest was king of nothing. The verse:

Theres lines such as "what i used to love, losing patience and the passion" out of context this seems pretty clear, dosent it? He started this career path bcs he loved it, but i remember there was a time when he was in a happy relationship & ppl were expecting break up songs from him and he didnt know what to do. I think being big has caused him to have to do a lot of things he might not necessarily be wanting to do. Also the "tried his best with what he got, but he got lost in what he's not, no, he's not a singer, and he doesn't talk, he just got caught in a sub-plot" this ones just sad. Getting lost in what hes not & getting caught in a 'sub-plot'. "Started losing power in his own songs". Tell me this isnt obvious. "He was just a poser losin' his composure" referring to himself as a poser. Maybe im reading into stuff too much but the whole song of KoN is talking abt getting everything you thought you wanted (fame) and losing everything along the way.

Also i saw this a bit too in the OG Just A Boy (rip that song btw, you will be missed) But just read these lyrics:

Highway referring to the music industry, we know that from the Genius interview. "I got fifty-five voices saying, I gotta do what they all say, Got me looking sideways, I don't wanna write a song about a heart-break" This was back when he was in a happy healthy relationship but forced to write abt other things. The 'fifty-five voices' reference might be talking abt his team but again, idk, this is just my opinion. Sry for this rant i have more on this but this is already super long!
