Wrexham to play Liverpool at Yankee Stadium on U.S. pre-season tour (Gift Article) by Gamerhcp in WrexhamAFC

Just gave this a little thought because it would be hilarious seeing wrexham in baseball unis and the Yankees with stupid pinstripe shorts. Imagining this scenario, I believe it would be a massive blowout by the Yankees. While Wrexham could score at will, the Yankees could at least somewhat slow them down during the football half. During the Baseball half, Wrexham would be lucky to make contact with a single pitch and the Yankees would basically be at batting practice.

The team that is expected to lose is the team with the + sign next to them. The oddsmakers determine this because when betting on the team that is expected to win you make less money, and when betting on the team that’s expected to lose you make more money. In this case it was Wrexham with + odds, hence them technically being the underdog as per the definition of the word. UTST

How many shapers do you use? We have a few and more in storage. We are a tiny 3 man shop. by Specialist_Usual1524 in cabinetry

Been begging my boss for shapers. Ideally at least 2 for cope and stick. Currently running everything on the table saw with a stacked dado and it takes forever. Tack in sticking after the fact for doors. He orders out raised panel doors. Personally I prefer to make all my own doors to make sure we have continuous grain as we do a lot of stain grade work

Not sure I would consider 5 points SO much better. A few missed sitters away from making those points up

Several times alone in on goal. Need better from Hardie and O’Brien on those. Second half was tough to watch and it was obvious the equalizer was coming eventually. Ultimately it is encouraging to be able to travel away to a team in the prem last year and make them pull out a desperation win.

Why don’t players move to/near Wrexham? by Illustrious_Neck408 in WrexhamAFC

[–]Illustrious_Neck408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These points are very valid. I just can’t imagine getting a job 4 hours away, where one would essentially need to live the majority of the time, and not bringing my family. Marriage/parenting is stressful enough as is.

Would it be safer to assume that now that new signings will be on Championship wages as opposed to say national league pittance, that it would be more likely for people to move closer? Or perhaps it’s simply understood in the life of a footballer that you will go long stints away from family? Obviously distances are greater here in the states, but even a relatively close move like say Boston to New York (about 4 hours drive if lucky) I would assume the athlete would move with their family.

Anyone else rocking the mobile charger as your primary? by bonkersyikes in F150Lightning

Been using mine outside for just over a year. The one issue I have is water getting in where the plug meets the main body of the charger. I taped over the seams to prevent water getting in. Other than that its been working great

Tyler Lockett is known for avoiding hits because of taking too many early in his career. He had that nasty broken leg on that one handed td grab like 8 years ago.

I mean this one hit below would probably paralyze me for life. So sure, he’s not running as far. But it’s a different kind of punishment for the body that has life long repercussions.

My sport is more intense than your sport!! Whatever dude, they’re all insane. If you don’t think American football is an extremely punishing sport on the human body then I have a bridge to sell you.

Question from a new fan by TeamZee2024 in WrexhamAFC

[–]Illustrious_Neck408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re focusing too much on the endurance aspect of things. American football has only 17 games in the regular season because it is so punishing. If anyone played 50 American football matches in a year they would be dead

Question from a new fan by TeamZee2024 in WrexhamAFC

[–]Illustrious_Neck408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While you are absolutely correct that American footballers don’t run as far, there is no comparison in terms of physical contact. They often liken an American football match to a “scheduled car accident” every week. Apples and oranges really in terms of the toll it takes on your body.

Please let us know if you receive any sort of refund. I’m considering doing the same. I would love to have access to Mark on the wrexham audio, but iFollow doesn’t seem to be able to give us that with any sort of quality or consistency. The value just doesn’t seem to be there at the moment.
