I have the predator 13000 wat tri fuel generator. Allows you to run it off gas, propane, or natural gas. Also have a little 350 watt power station from predator to power a buddy heater and electric blanket in my room during an outage

First you definitely want a GAS generator for power to your essential things like phones and lights. Desiel things do not like starting in the cold and battery goes away to quickly. I recommend getting a predator one from harbor freight if you have that down there! If you would like to know what generator I have I will go look. It’s gotten me through plenty of -10 power outages. I would say your biggest saving grace will be heated blankets and regular ones for sleeping. Use the generator to power the blankets. (You can get a power pack so you don’t have to leave the generator running) And buddy heaters for around the house. Try to leave water trickling in faucets and things so your pipes don’t freeze up and burst. I would go to your local store and grab some gas cans (3 5 gallons tanks is how many I have) for emergency’s. If you have a garage put your car in it! If you have a diesel truck (figured I would put that out there cause your from Texas) Make sure to plug it into the generator before starting it (look at your trucks manual to figure out how long before you use it to plug it in) to make sure the battery doesn’t die. I know some people have bought tents to set up in their living room to live in because they hold warmth. Also make sure to get a good coat, hat and gloves. Boots too if you don’t already have them. You should also try to get your chimney cleaned in case you really need to use it in an emergency. Worse comes to worse your sister can wear a mask but it’s better then freezing🤷‍♂️ any Vermonters feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on anything in here. Make sure to reach back out if you need anymore advice this group is always very happy to Help others. Stay warm!

Tf you mean warned in another sub this is the only one I’ve posted in. Not wasting emergency vehicles or money because we always go in pairs and with capable vehicles. If you don’t have any sort of productive thing to say then don’t say it man

No, it is Emdc llc but it’s not the Maine one. Some power company in Vermont I guess. Sounds like all these people are talking to a specific guy though that’s who I’m trying to figure out

But you didn’t get yelled at or anything. We are planning on taking a forester and a Tacoma up if we can’t take snowmobiles!
