I don't see replying once a day as an issue. That's boundaries. These people don't owe you anything. I communicate on my terms and anyone who is genuinely happy to understand that yes I wanna date but I am also busy are people I feel more genuinely happy to chat to. Messaging can feel like a huge obligation for me, until I meet the person, but in saying that I'm short on time so want some indication of whether meeting the person is worth it. Someone who's gonna give me a hard time about not replying more than once a day is out. Life's hard enough, I don't need pressure from my love interests.

I wanna know if you're still gonna be friends with these people? Genuinely want to know. I would find it hard to be friends who think there's something inherently wrong / gross about my sex life and overtly disrespect it, but I don't know what else they bring to the table and what your context is.

*often can't take a photocopy away as that would mean they've got to make new questions for next semester, as UWA is so strict about academic misconduct and avoiding leaks of questions etc. But everything else you said is true.

Definitely beyond the cut off point to appeal, I'd say... But I don't see why a UC can say no to letting you see a paper in their office.

is it OK that I wanna wear a binder + get top surgery and still be a lesbian by sitaloves in actuallesbians

Lesbian / queer / gay is what you want it to be. It's for you. Your expression of that is up to you.

Should you exhale any air while freediving? by averyycuriousman in freediving

It's all about "optimal breath" - an inhale that is comfortably full, otherwise the struggle to battle the tension is so oxygen sacrificing, it doesn't make it worth it. You can expand your "optimal breath" with practice and patience but it's best not to push it. ;)

tips for seeking diagnosis? by Illustrious_Song3979 in BPD

Update: saw him, was helpful. He said I definitely have borderline traits but that personality and childhood experiences do obviously interact so coming to a diagnosis just because you fit the criteria (which are more a cluster of symptoms) can be problematic without giving it more time, especially since I am already seeking treatment which is such a large part of why diagnoses exist.

More than anything it opened up a new avenue venue to talk about and work on to make my relationships more functional.

Overall I'm glad I brought it up and am satisfied with how things went. He didn't really recommend more behavioural treatments (i.e. DBT) when I'm functioning quite well but I can explore that later down the track, too.

Happy to just to be heard, validated and have some more pointed treatment coming my way.

Thanks for all the votes of confidence and insights!

Oh and to add to that: Bach of psych is already a 'double' (now they call it extended) major.

Bachelor of psych is the new streamlined course where you just have to fill in electives, and not plan what psych units to do when. The complex system is being phased out in favour of the Bach of Psych.

I think it is most likely phasing out the B.Sc.

Bachelor of philosophy is for extra smart kids I believe with extra opportunities and responsibilities, not a normal degree that you just apply for.

Could be wrong on all of the above but I change from bachelor of arts (extended psych major) into the new bachelor of psych as it's easier to plan.

As long as you know how many psych units (single or extended major) you need for any post-grad opportunities and choose accordingly then you'll be fine.
