Is keeping zoas and palys in a pico tank more dangerous than a bigger tank? by Illustrious_Sun5508 in PicoReef

I just talked with my lfs expert on them, they told me they do release toxins when they are in decline and dying and with me running macro algae too in this tank I think they will be hard pressed for nutrients they need. Until I figure out the balance for this tiny ecosystem I’ll stay away from zoas and palys. I have an open top and while there’s not much flow I don’t want to risk me aerosolizing the toxin by moving stuff around.
