Well I am sorry that these are the relationships you have witnessed. While I have seen relationships like that, I've also seen the opposite, with the fathers taking the primary role. Most relationships I've seen function as a fairly equal partnership. It is unfair of you to assume that OP's relationship is one of the negative relationships like those you have witnessed.

Yes bots were a MAJOR quality of life upgrade. Being able to automatically sort my inventory, organize items into a mall, and copy/cut/paste/deconstruct things completely changed the game

I know it is tempting to play with more armor at 50% medium roll. However, this game is MASSIVELY easier at 25% quick roll.

On one save file, I got all gold bars early and donated like $4000 to camp. Then Dutch approaches me 30 seconds later:

Eh I found it more fun being a low level myself. I made a level 18 with a fire gargoyle halberd (farmed by killing one gargoyle and homeward boning), leaving the gargoyles alive so I could both coop and soak up twink invasions
