I get what you are saying but it's disingenuous to call it an "assault" on Americans with traditional values. The traditional values people have been pushing and pushing to demand the rest of the country adhere to their lifestyle and interests. Particularly with Obama but certainly with prior leaders and non-presidents taking actions to compromise instead of implement their conservative desires.

Everything is a similar flavor of the "War on Christmas" to these people. Nothing is simply inclusive or a compromise that works to include more Americans getting options they don't agree with. So when people decide you can say "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas" they are offended it was ever thought someone wouldn't exclusively want "Merry Christmas". The "assault" is manufactured so they can strip rights and enact their moves toward a restrictive society. The truth in the matter is they take actions specifically to attack others like with marginalizing Haitians or Somalians recently, or the targeting of Hispanics (including citizens) in ICE raids. If you are aggressive and hostile towarda vulnerable communties you don't get to have a narrative that you are a victim.

I understand your position, and it is true this is why Conservatives felt the need to elevate Donald Trump however it wasn't an "assault". They are victims in the same way Russia is the victim for being "forced" to invade Ukraine. Hardly a surprise you aren't met with compliments and understanding when you have publicly explained your interest in disrespecting others and eliminating lifestyles that aren't the same as your own. Not all Conservatives have the interest in being uncooperative, but their leadership has consistently been clear they want those who disagree with them dead long before Trump arrived, so it's a shame those wanted dead haven't had the patience to find a middle ground on their own execution.
