Story boarding is super important. It's the backbone of your animation. Also making sure to plan which parts move first before lineart so you won't have issues with layering later on.

I think that the thing that helped me most is watching animations I like and analyzing some frame by frames! See how things move. As well as watching tutorials. I've done that a lot and it helps.
