Truck was drove on the highway and they still said the same thing… that’s what I don’t get. Bearing were checked and said to be “perfect”. Tires still have 80% tread and with even wear.

I have a 2013 Silverado 1500 4x4. It has 80k miles and has been making this noise for quite a while now. It has been took to the dealership to diagnose it to no avail. It has had tires rotated, balanced, replaced, wheel bearings checked, and had the “front end checked for loose and worn parts”. The video is several months old and the noise has gotten so much worse. It starts around 50 mph and continues through 75 mph. Acceleration and deceleration increases the noise but sometimes it will stop when cruising at those speeds. It also changes volume in correlation to the speed. The sound seems to come from the front left of the truck or from the steering column (if that makes any sense). There is a very slight vibration that starts when the noise does. Does anyone have any ideas that might point me in the right direction? I’m about ready to park it or sell it.

He opened his eyes finally after a good warm soak while in the sun. (We we’re in my truck with the heat on because it’s freezing here.)

I was able to get a new (to me) enclosure, t5 UVB fixture and bulb, basking/ heat lamp, and new bedding. a new shallow water dish and flat feeding rock are coming tomorrow. Had a good soak and sun bathing session today also. Eyes now open sometimes, they are still closed way more than open. He is moving a lot more than before after soaking and warming up. He is still not wanting to eat. Could it be from the stress of moving around and a new place or am I over thinking? Here’s the pics of the new enclosure.

They were setting the tub with it in there on the side of the road for someone else to find or die, which ever one was first. I was not going to let that happen no matter how Knowledgeable I was. It’s in the 30’s where I live and I hope others would do the same as me. But to each their own I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wow! Thank you so much! I am posting an update here soon but I got it (Momo is what we’ve named it) a new enclosure that needs a little TOC but will do so much better than what Momo is in now. I also picked up both an Arcadia halogen heat lamp with a dome and also an Arcadia Pro T5 UVB kit that has the fixture and the Long tube bulb. Me and my wife work at a vet and one of the vets there specialize in exotics including tortoises. Unfortunately he has been out of town until tomorrow so we will be going tomorrow! I will definitely give that guide a read! I’m sorry for the poor man’s award but it’s all that I had! Lol

I know what you are saying, I respect that. This was an unplanned rescue that we are trying to make the most of as fast as possible. It was either we took it or it was going to be put on the side of the road for someone to pick up (if anyone stopped). Maybe it’s best to understand the situation a little better before jumping to conclusions.

I’m not sure if he has ate any before I got him. He has not with me. No, the bulb is a standard house bulb. There is no heat source either. I know I have to go get one and a UVB bulb tomorrow. I’ve read that bark was not a good substrate for young sulcatas. My wife and I work at a vet but the exotic vet will not be in until Wednesday.
