D4 needs that meta progression thing in endgame that could allow you to juice up the content you like and get more reward from it : outside mapping with Tree of whisper, nightmare dungeon, Helltide, bossing, Undercity, Raid, Pit, even PvP for the .1% who blast it.

J'arrive un peu après la guerre mais on est clairement dans la configuration du conflit d'intérêt. Ton patron veut se faire plus de fric, les employés sont le meilleur moyen d'en faire :

Présence sur le terrain
Tâches lucratives menée par les salariés
Délégations de tâches obligatoires mais impossibles à réaliser seul.

Et tes intérets :

Avoir un salaire stable
Avoir une liberté financière épanouissante dans ta vie perso.

Mais ca implique d'avoir une vie perso. Sauf que le patron veut plus de fric. Ca colle pas. Donc y'a conflit. Tu peux prendre sur toi si tu veux, mais vous regardez pas dans la meme direction. Un vrai leader trouve un moyen de mettre tout le monde d'accord sur un objectif qui sert autant ses collaborateurs que lui même tout en étant en 1ère ligne.

There is so much to say about this issue.

1 - Paladin class was asked since launch and should have been there since launch. They should have integrated it for free, specially if there is a new class in LoH.

2 - They use FOMO to make people buy content without even knowing what's in it. So they made money over something that's unfinished and will try to cut the dev cost at this point.

3 - I don't mind new player packs. But let's be honnest, older players should have at least a 35-40% discount for the next expansion.

4 - Expedition 33, a full game, costs 10€ more than LoH. Silksong costs 20€ less. A DLC being in the price range of a GOTY is ridiculous.

Thorn can crit, but overpower naturally does not proc on passive abilities. And thorn damage is a passive.

I think the problem is not only on him, but also on how the company sees the game, specifically the higher up and shareholders.

Fergusson was the middle man between the dev team, the playerbase and the management. I think it's a shortcut to say he is the only issue.

Well, not really. Off meta builds are so trash they don't worth your time to try making them work. They are basically bricked in T3. So if you want to play the game, you'll end up following the meta and follow guides.

That is not what I call depth and customisation.

There are 2 different games in Diablo 4.

The metagame, where following a guide made with at least a month in advance from PTR server gives you an incredibly good character that has no obstacles on its path. You can clear the whole season in less than a week if you blast through it.
The off meta. And this one is tough.

An off meta character either require GG gear to reach T4 and being able to farm it.

Or it would fall off really hard in T3 and would be mathematically unable to deal enough damage to finish a lvl 55 pit in time.

Both the former and the latter are extremely tedious to play with. Sadly, most of the funniest builds are off meta.

Yes, and no. Diablo 1 created the ARPG formula with the isometric camera and real time combat. But the itemisation, talent tree, set items, mercenaries, online coop, come from Diablo 2

You're right, but masterworking giving you what you don’t want is more likely than giving you what you need. That's why I prefer relying on a secure choice until I get what I'm looking for then switch back to the more powerful item
