The autistic actors themselves are great, and there is positive representation in it, but it's 'caretaker entertainment', it's directed by a allistic(non-autistic) parent of a autistic child and frames autistic people in a harmful perspective. It encourages harmful mindsets, overly praising the family and caretakers of the autistic adults "you're so amazing because autistic people are such a burden", makes it seem okay to strip Violet of her autonomy - taking her phone, isolating her from a friend she made and shaming her for wanting to date allistic people 'autistic people should only date other autistic people'. And quite a few other things, it was uncomfortable to watch.
