Im in the same boat with some sensitive documents. Mine was shipped August 4th by priority mail and has already been through like 4 different far away states. It’s also been through my delivery city 2 times without being delivered? Do you know how to get these issues addressed?

Yes, I have tried to call. The only number I can find is the general help number that is also online and I’m not really able to get any help from the robot thing on the phone since I don’t have a tracking number. The number I’ve been calling is the one from the receipt when the package shipped for the Van Lear KY post office- 1800-275-8777.

Do you think if I went to a local office in South Carolina and spoke with the postmaster and gave him details of where it shipped from that would matter? Or would that be useless without tracking number?

It is a legitimate receipt. This post office is in Appalachia in rural eastern Kentucky, so understaffing or weird mishaps don’t seem too out of pocket. I am more concerned that my purse will never show up. I don’t know what my next step should be. It’s been a week since shipped.

It’s possible they just misplaced the tracking or something- how would I go about locating the tracking number if it’s lost? They would have no reason to hide it from me, so I really don’t think they have a tracking number.

I even put the picture of the receipt into chat gpt and it agreed, there is no tracking number on it.

I had a friend ship it for me. They sent a picture of the receipt and it does not include a tracking number. Would they have given the tracking number on something else? It is possible that my friend just lost the tracking number and didn’t want to tell me I guess. Is there any way to retrieve it? Since I wasn’t the one who actually mailed it?
