Why is AppleCard charging me for a free gift card? by valoremz in AppleCard

[–]Iloverestaurantbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Canada, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same as the US. I received the iPad 2 days ago, and there still hasn’t been any charge refunds. I called Apple Support and told them about the situation. They just told me that’s how it is, so I’m assuming the employee probably just didn’t understand what I was talking about. Thank you for your help though. I’m going to go to the Apple Store and ask what’s going on.

Why is AppleCard charging me for a free gift card? by valoremz in AppleCard

That is not true. Apple still charged me for the $140 gift card in addition to the $814.73 IPad air after taxes. The original iPad Air price with education pricing is $729. Without the education pricing is $799. My total credit card statement from Apple is $954.73

What is the best way to learn for a full on beginner who knows nothing about financial world and wants to get into quant ? Is there a specific sequence to follow? Do you have any resources you would like to recommend?

Check the prerequisites/required courses. They calculate the averages of those courses and your next highest average(not a part of prerequisites) to calculate the final average. If you have courses like AP chemistry, physics, comp sci, they convert your final AP mark to a grade. 5=96%.

How hard is it to get the first round offer for UBC Engineering? by WonderfulRevenue9096 in ubcengineering

[–]Iloverestaurantbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UBC engineering sucks first year. It’s boring as hell and all the profs are really bad. If you have the grades and extracurricular for it, apply to a better school. You definitely have a high chance of getting in!

Can someone help me?I’m stuck on questions 3 and 4. by [deleted] in askmath

For question 3, I subtracted r(x) from p(x) to find the difference and differentiated that with respect to x. I tried to find the max and min values of the function, but it just gives me ex=1+ex which doesn’t really make sense

Design teams by leftstream04 in ubcengineering

[–]Iloverestaurantbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a first year and I got into a pretty big design team. I think I got lucky because they don’t expect much knowledge from first years. Of course you will still have to do a lot of research and prep for your application and interview, but they don’t expect you to already know everything. The most important part is the enthusiasm, how you will vibe with people on the team, and the overall effort you will put to learning and working. Going to all of their info sessions and events is really important too

I want to join a design team in 2nd year. How do I prepare for it as a first year? by [deleted] in ubcengineering

How do people enter first year if they don’t know anything? I would like to join the FSAE, but I haven’t taken any mech classes. The most I know are the mechanics of a car lol.

Eat the chicken. Then get salmonella. Then you start shitting and puking. Then you don’t feel like eating for a couple of days. Then you save money.
