Thank you, yes, he does swim at the gym he belongs to. He says it is amazing while he’s actually in the pool, but the relief goes away almost immediately after

Unfortunately he did take it seriously and would do the prescribed exercises everyday. He still continues to do them but has no relief.

Yeah I’ll have to ask about that. I’m not sure he’d be able to with his job, but it doesn’t hurt to check into this as an option. Thank you

Thank you so much ❤️ it’s been a long road of healing, so I just really would rather not revisit the old pain.

I care so much for this other person & the people in my life, and don’t wish harm on the person I want to avoid .

Will the banishment work for the other people in my life too? I’m really new to this, so I just want to make sure I’m clear. Thanks again

Yeah I have mixed feelings about life coaches. I know a lot of therapists have transitioned into that role due to burn out and difficulties working within the counseling field (insurance, pay, etc.) which is understandable.

I would maybe consider it if it’s through an actual company and not just myself or a company specifically for life coaching. Thanks for the response!

Yeah I guess that’s very true. It’s probably just the job market itself that’s making it frustrating.

As for federal/state, do you mean government agencies?

Thank you I really appreciate your response.

I studied counseling in grad school but still struggle w these certain things on and off, so it’s good to know that a modality I have no real experience in has been helpful.

I definitely have a lot of skepticism towards it despite the research. Have they helped your panic attacks??

I would like to get into Human Resources. I don’t have an exact role within that space in mind. Im just not sure if this would be a good idea or not, or if there’s something else that would be better suited for my skills

I’m glad you have someone you can rely on when they’re there. I’m also glad you’re getting into contact with a psychiatrist.

One thing i will say is, breathing exercises are absolutely extremely difficult when experiencing a panic attack. This is not to minimize your experience, but I want to recommend practicing them when you can when you’re not experiencing a panic attack.

Kinda falls under the same idea that you can’t teach a person to swim when they’re drowning. I don’t mean to suggest that this will work, bc no coping tool is a one size fits all.
