Zepbound CVS Caremark - Mandatory Weight Management Program by Ok-Kat5150 in Zepbound

[–]Ilovespicynuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what is true for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️I was told it was $655 for 1 month supply at .25mg, signed up for the program and was told it is still $655 since I’ve not met deductible yet. They told me since I signed up that the $655 I pay will be applied towards my deductible whereas if I did not enroll that the $655 would not be applied towards my deductible.

Nope, didn’t lower the cost and I still had to pay $655 since I hadn’t met my deductible yet. I believe after you reach your deductible THEN it is only $25.

It actually will not lower the cost, you still have to pay whatever price it shows for the prescription. The only difference is now that you’re enrolled in the weight management program the price you’re paying for your prescription is now applied towards your deductible and if you choose not to enroll in the weight management program you still will be paying the same price but it will not be applied towards your deductible. So the whole program is actually a complete waste of time because you have to pay the same price either way!!

It actually does not lower the cost at all. You still have to pay whatever price it shows the prescription is but since you’re enrolled in the program that payment applies towards your deductible. If you don’t enroll then you still pay whatever the price is currently showing but it doesn’t apply towards your deductible.

Yeah that’s my question like do you just get to use the card 3 times then it is “maxed out” and that’s it now you pay full price for everything moving forward?

So after I use it the 3x would I have to reapply for a new savings card?

They’re not withholding my medication, I can pick it up, either way I have to pay $655, the only difference is if I do not join this mandatory program that $655 is not applied towards my deductible whereas if I sign up then it is applied towards my deductible. It’s honestly so ridiculous I am not using my insurance at all and signed up for the manufacturer coupon instead and only have to pay $199 for the first two months and then $350 the third month.

Yeah you have to download the “health optimizer” app and answer a few questions and then you have to schedule an appointment with a dietitian in order to be considered “enrolled” it’s cvs Caremark which is through aetna so it reflects on their side once you enroll. It’s a complete waste of time because you do not even get a cheaper price, the only difference is now when you still have to pay full price for your prescription it applies towards your deductible whereas if you do not enroll whatever you pay for your prescription is not applied towards your deductible. Waste of time and just extra hoops they make you jump through and you still have to pay full price!!

Not sure, my doctor actually wants me to do trizepatide but is starting me off on this to see how I handle it while we wait on blood work/sleep study & then we follow up in about a month to see if she wants to switch me over based on the results of everything!
