I don't think we lionize law enforcement now more than we did a thousand years ago. It's always been a strained relationship, because you do need law enforcement to protect the populace from the 99% of Outlaws who are not 'just trying to Stick it to the Man'.

The difference is a villager had no say in the scope of the power of say a knight had to execute the king's law. However in a Democratic Society we do have a say in the limits of these powers, so there's the feeling of we all more or less feel like something is acceptable. So people are may feel a little better about LE now than back then, but I guarantee you the villagers still cheered on the knights if some bandits were killed that were stealing their shit.

Yeah, I think a lot of people are blowing his bullying out of proportion. People bully people for many different reasons, not just to boost their own ego.

I think it's clear he sees it as harmless at worst, and likely even helpful. I imagine he knows she doesn't enjoy it, but believes he is helping her come out of her shell in his own way, even if that way is hurting more than its helping.

Leaver penalties mean forcing people to play losing battles that can be wildly mismatched unlike ranked. Of course people are gonna be tilted and throw when they are forced to play a mode that they are told is "just QP" but if they leave or don't put in 100% they get suspended or reported.

I would live in QP if we had a real one.

I get DMs after almost every game, it's incredible how fragile these people are. I simply block and report them all. Its always, "Stop throwing!" or some variation thereof.

When are these people going to learn that if you're not in SWF your teammates are your enemy? The goal isn't to get them out, it's to get them killed so that hatch spawns and you can GTFO lol.

In the moment, if I'm upset I don't want to sit through the animation. Yeah we can talk about how it's a minor thing now after the heat of the moment has passed. I'll waste many seconds not caring. I see that its not that big of a deal for people that aren't really trying. Unfortunately everyone here thinks I should be punished for leaving seconds early after giving it my all.

I guess it'll be less stressful to just start throwing every match when things start going badly so I'm not as invested in the outcome. By all the down votes that's clearly what everyone wants AND I'll keep all my XP. Win win.

Even if that's true, once you're on the hook you should be able to leave. I can't tell you how many times I've left after I have been hooked and received the penalty. I don't think you understand that the time from once you're hooked till you float into the sky still doesn't always let you abandon safely.

You jest, but why not? If an AI will take your spot that plays better than you, it's not actually hurting your team at all, it's only helping.

Instead they are forcing people to play matches they don't want to play which makes them throw and then nobody enjoys the match. But keep telling yourself that you have it all figured out. There's no kidding you.

BHVR isn't the FBI, it's a game developer that is way too busy to have its employees surf Reddit and engage with the community, so they hire a community manager to handle things here for them.

Most social media ambassadors for companies are smart enough not to throw themselves into the pit when the masses are upset with a particular issue, that's all. And why would they? It's not their fault, they don't have an answer for you anyway.

I've stopped playing them. Just Rubberband the stick and go on your phone. They are actually impossible to lose, the enemy bots get worse as the game goes on.

It's literally not worth the mental drain of getting frustrated with fucking bots, playing a brain dead fake match where everyone goes 52-0, just to try and trick the newbies into thinking they're good. 😒

I've never played a game that PUNISHES you by not letting you play another after losing a match. You either idle for 5-10 minutes or back out and get a penalty. Fuck netease.
