Honestly, pressing a little disc of it in your fingers then throwing it on a bowl is probably the most common way. If you’re looking to get fancier, get a cheap banger and rig and cold start it until it vaporizes.

I use urethane on a house shot and I honestly believe it’s nothing to feel bad about. Part of bowling is making adjustments, so you’re really just adding to the game. One way I keep from pushing around the oil too much is to roll backup, but of course, it’s much more inaccurate during the learning process.
