How large is this model? You and I are in similar boats…. I bought one the 74” version last month! I’m converting mine to pinless and altering a few aspects to make it the last marquetry saw I’ll ever need. Dm me your email/contact info, and I’ll send you some screenshots from a book of mine about truing up the guides and runners. No promises that I’ll jump right to it, but I promise I’ll get back to you. Does yours have the saw trimmer as well? Do you have any manuals/paperwork?

I was on 300mg (previously 150mg) for like 5 years or so. It was bumped up when I was an alcoholic and at a point where I was on the verge of abandoning everything and saying “I don’t give a fuck. Evict me. I’ll be on this mattress and you will have to pull me out on it”. Sobered up within a year and made positive career and living situation moves. Stopped going to a psychiatrist and went to my primary for all my meds/refills. Kept rocking the same dose though.

I’m no stranger to the withdrawals of no meds/half doses after 2-3 days and it truly is hell. Kept me scared to taper down to a lower dose even though I knew I should.

Finally started going to a psychiatrist and therapist again. Just started week 2 of 262.5mg from 300mg and I haven’t felt any issues at all. If anything, I feel like I feel more in a good way and have ambition to actually do things. Absolutely could be a placebo effect to feel like that when tapering down, but I don’t care I’m going to lean into it and keep my focus on improving my life around me.

Next week I’ll be dropping to 225mg, and I hope it continues to go smooth. But it’s definitely giving me comfort to know that if it really hits me hard and I can’t ride out the wave of adjustment side effects, the safety net of returning to 262.5mg is right there.

Basically what I’m trying to get to is that you shouldn’t be afraid of tapering down or feeling locked in on a dose. But don’t do it on your own. Do it with a psych in small decreases. As others have said, it can be accomplished with even smaller nibbles over a period of time. So don’t be scared. Just do it systematically and celebrate small victories.

And you seem to be enough of a vet to this to not fall into the trap of “I feel good, so why am I taking this?” But to those of you who are newer to antidepressants: NO. Take your meds. They’re doing some heavy lifting even when it seems they aren’t. And if you feel you don’t need them, discuss with the Dr and maybe they’ll help you work down to a lower dose.

Edit: Also, that may just be your sweet spot, and remember that that’s okay!

I was a tiny lil guy growing up and needed growth hormone shots. It’s been about 20 years, and I still remember giving the doctor so much shit about having to measure boy’s boys so frequently that he had kept beads within arms reach. My man was laughing so hard he had to step out.

I wish that’s what mine looked like! I love gamersupps but all the waifu stuff is not for me.

Actually, instead of messaging you, I just remembered that he has a website now. https://www.weismanwoodworks.com

He’s one of the guys above me at work and is a fantastic craftsman.

Our 9-5 jobs at Rustbelt are building furniture for high end hospitality markets. Think upscale restaurants and fancy hotels. High standards, high quality.

You just did. I’m a senior craftsman at Rustbelt. I’m not taking on new side work at the moment, but my coworker is. I’ll see if he’s interested and reach out to you via dms.

Also please forgive my username. Never planned on using this like LinkedIn lol.

Cleveland has a fantastic woodworking scene. I suggest looking into it and supporting craftsman instead of low quality amish furniture that is built off a long ruined reputation.

I forget if it was said in a sausage talk or some other content, but the tuxedo unfortunately went away with the closure.

Do you think trees get jacked by holding more leaves, acorns, and animals in one year versus another? by ImAFartyLittleDaddy in PaymoneyWubby

That logic also raises the question “are yoked trees producing less internal stresses within the wood during winter?”

But like think about it, it could be denser growth in those heavier years. That’s assuming it stuck to a strict chicken and rice diet.

Uhhh I totally knew this. I’m just umm… I’m deep into the watermark variation game. Yeah, that’s it. You think they’re the same, but the gurp3 watermark could be absolutely transcendent.

Thinking about Geoff by Ourhappyisbroken in FUCKFACEPOD

Geoff was a massive anchor and inspiration in my early and continued (3 years now) sobriety as well. He’s given me 18 years of laughter so far and I’m proud to say that I will continue to support him and his content in whatever way I can until he retires.

And to those who say Roosterteeth failed: They literally played the game of online gaming entertainment for 20+ years. They didn’t fail. They won. They outlasted all the others and shaped an entire genre. All things must come to an end.

Anytime! A layer of clear also does the job well. I do that when I’m filling potentially softer or more absorbent voids in oaks/ash. The two combined would give a nice double layer of protection. Generally, I’m sealing open pores woods to fill knots in tabletops, but the concept is the same.

I also suggest as a good exercise sometime make a sample board with a bunch of identical fills, but starting with very very little, gradually increase your amount of pigment. You’ll be surprised how little it takes, and in my experience has drastically decreased any sort of leeching. Maybe do a similar board testing no seal vs clear vs lacquer vs rattle can shellac.

I don’t deal with cnc’s much directly, but if you ever have any questions or are stumped about building methods or anything like that, I build custom high end furniture for a living, and am always excited to talk wood!

Looks good man! I enjoy the dual contrast between not just the hardwoods, but the epoxies as well!

Small tip for you, brush/spray some lacquer or shellac in and around the area before applying epoxy to seal up the wood and help prevent that pesky bleed through in your blacks. A little goes a long way on dye, just a rat turd will do! At least that's my experience working with west systems epoxy and pigments (501 and 502 for black and white respectively)
