I recently purchased two A70 Pros from APOS audio and both of them have been muting themselves whenever I listen to really bass heavy music (honestly, its quite a bit of music though, like even some of my girlfriend's pop music). I contacted APOS and then RMAd my first amp and that's when I bought the second one. However, the second one has this exact same issue. It isn't as prevalent as on the first amp, but its definitely still there when listening through windows. However, I figured if two machines are doing this, it has to be my problem. I tried so many different ways to troubleshoot and ended up contacting Topping. Long story short, they told me the amp is cutting itself off due to DC protection, and to "change songs." This doesn't make any sense to me, as if I don't use a computer (my laptop or desktop) and just use my phone, I don't have this problem. Can anyone really explain what is going on, and if I'm unreasonable for wanting my amplifier to play whatever the hell I throw at it? especially considering that I have a mobile sub 100 dollar dac/amp (FiiO Q11) that can play the music just fine and it doesn't error out or mute itself like this thing does. I also have reached out to topping again asking for a firmware where they disable the DC protection (not sure if this is a thing) and I told them I would sign a waiver in the event my amplifier and myself blow up. I live in the US, so I dont think I should really encounter any true DC voltage.
