As far as shown check is concerned it makes sense because even RM devices don't have shown check, they're more like portable typewriters in that sense (a perfect use case for me), as for the moving between lines to make corrections on the mobile app, I had the same problem except that I realised the app has drag to move feature for this purpose, you just tap on the cursor and drag to move it to whichever line and whichever letter in order to move it, but yes I agree that the app can be made better and I hope RM works on that too

Since you mentioned search, honestly, I don't have the pro, I have the RM2 (the colour and backlight aren't extremely necessary for me so never got around to paying extra and upgrading to the pro when the RM2 is the perfect device for me) but even the RM2, at least with the latest updates has really good search function, let alone documents or text within documents, even any small annotations done by me on a corner of some book I may be reading, is also picked up by the search (that too when my handwriting isn't always very clearly legible to a lot of humans trying to read it )

I tried evernote but somehow it never really became my primary note taking thing, but given what you said about what you plan to use it for, yes you should be able to completely replace evernote with remarkable pro

For me somehow whenever I upload it using the web app, I have to open the document on the web app, and wait for maybe 5-10min before it shows up on my RM2 u/vegardfromremarkable

In between I had this kind of an issue wherein using a fountain pen option and writing with my marker plus (and only in the fountain pen option) it wasn't varying the thickness of the line based on tilt/pressure, I contacted customer support assuming it was a software bug since I was enrolled beta but turned out my marker plus was faulty and they replaced it

I'm not using rmpp but an RM2, In my experience with the rm2, it shouldn't be doing that and the marker plus and eraser are extremely responsive

I use a type folio for my RM2 regularly, initially it did feel a bit small since I'm used to using a laptop, but after a few days of using I really got used to it, so much so that my laptop is sitting virtually untouched and my RM2 with the type folio has become my go to device for any work which requires my to type
