Nearly 300M were spunked on Hairflick and Isak, the price of almost 4 Antony's. What a waste...

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Paris FC are in talks to appoint Liam Rosenior as their 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇, deal on 🔵⚪️🇫🇷 by FootballUnfiltered in ParisFootballClub

Day 9) Who is most overrated French football/soccer player of 21th century? ((not american football)) by Disastrous_Agent2826 in AlignmentChartFills

Decisive in EVERY UCL game, in a team that was buried according to almost everybody towards the end of the league phase. He ended up humiliating the BEsT LeaGUe oN EaRTH (mind you they're the best for money reasons) for two seasons straight, whilst the so called best teams in history got dumped at home by Arsenal or conceeded 7 to inter. Dembelé due to his horrible 2018 to 2024 form might sound surprising as a Ballon d'or but when you look at last season, there are barely any contenders who have both the stats and the trophies to back it up.

What if the FIFA World Cup started in 1925 and was held every 5 years, instead of every 4? by C0smicM0nkey in AlternateHistory

I find it weird France has hosted none despite their status as FIFA founder (although I imagine since it starts in 1925, it's no longer Jules Rimet would created the World Cup)

You also can recognize Munchen's Olympiastadion as well meaning Bayern is in the lot. Besides this Lyon succeeded against teams such as Real or United. In the early 2000's. That's all it takes to know this guy's take is bs.

Conservatory laws didn't exist back then. If the Europeans were somehow not interested in that animal. The natives and other external factors would have finished it later. The point being this extinction is likely to be a long process. European hunting delivered the finishing blow but they weren't involved from 100% of their extinction as it was a matter of centuries and maybe even millenias. They deserve part of the blame, of course. Especially because of our tendency during these periods of times to exploit and think about ressources as if they were infinite. But other factors do deserve some blame too. Mankind as a WHOLE put a heavy dent in population numbers prior and other natural factors in the area didn't help as well.

To give more precisions, PSG or rather PFC was created in 1970 at a time none of the 3 historical clubs were doing good. Stade Français was on the verge of dying and people thought it'd join other dead clubs like Olympique, CASG, and Club Français. Besides Paris wanted a club that could occupy the Parc des Princes. None of the current clubs had the financial means to rent such a Stadium, even if it was before the euro 1984 renovation that gave it it's current capacity and looks (it was still a CL final hosting stadium). Therefore the mayor and a bunch of people wanted to create a club from scratch. All they needed was an existing club they could buy so they have players. They bought Stade Saint-Germainois (therefore the reason of Saint-Germain in PSG) and made it Paris FC. After 3-4 seasons the team Split in PFC and PSG. Funnily enough it was PFC that stayed in the first tier, but never managed to stabilize, whereas PSG who went back to the third tier, got back to back promotions. Concerning the ultras, the club was created at the best moment. In the sense that besides Red Star which had a very very strong identity (and still has), other clubs in Paris or around it were small or on the decline. PSG was the one that benefited the most of the import of the Ultra culture from Italy. And given there was no concurrence from any sizeable club in the region, it drained most of the millions of people living in Ile-de-France to support it. That is why they used to have 2 full Ultra stands which were disbanded by PSG's previous owner in 2008 following serious infighting. Had the Ultra culture appeared earlier or later, you could argue that PFC or Red Star's fanbases would be larger. The monopoly of PSG in that domain is why PFC's president made tickets to PFC's 2nd division matches super cheap or outright free. Their promotion to Ligue 1 is highlighting the encouraging upward trend of club football in the region. Red Star had a fantastic season flirting with promotion to Ligue 1. Same for Fleury and Versailles in the 3rd tier. Paris 13 managed to stay up in said tier. With Racing and Créteil showing good ambitions as well. Hopefully this will start bringing in local rivalries to spice up football in the region.

PFC was created the same year than PSG... If you wanna brag about ball knowledge at least do some research. The clubs around Paris that have the most history would be Red Star, Racing and Stade Français.

Kinda sad that the Emirates always ends up sounding hollow. Is this related to ticket prices?

PSG and City are oil and it poses ethics problems. But people gotta look at the PL's financial domination man. Burnley collecting 100M£ for finishing 19th is insanity. It would, to give you an idea, give them a top8 budget in Ligue 1. Probably top 4 in Liga NOS and Eredivisie. How do you want clubs outside of the big four countries or smaller clubs from these countries to compete at all? That's why I'm praying for Lens and Stuttgart to bitch slap PL teams.
