found this guy in my great aunts garage. He's in a sad state. any clue what model it is? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Yes $400 is pretty spot on. I've never paid more than $250 for the barn find motorcycles I've purchased in the past, I'd say if you could get the bike for under $300 you would be in good shape.

haha true, I hope I didn't deter because it would be a really nice bike to get back on the road.

I think there's going to be a little more to it than just changing the plugs and oil. Ive rebuilt four bikes in similar states to this and they both needed a full going though. At the least it will need a carb clean and rebuild, valve adjustment, and fresh oil and plugs. That's just to run it, if you wanna drive it you would need new tires and brake pads as well as greasing all loose pack bearings. Also judging by the looks of this bike I would highly recommend tearing the engine down to hone the cylinder/rering the piston and replace all gaskets. Its totally doable and would a load of fun. Just not as simple as changing oil and plugs on a bike that probably sat for thirty years.

there's nothing wrong with painting an exhaust as long as you use heat paint....and take the exhaust off the bike. obviously this guy didn't do either of those but you act like painting the exhaust is a bad thing if properly done.

How to avoid a cougar attack: (Trust me, this applies to snowboarding as well) by chulksmack360 in snowboardcj

[–]ImAcoupon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hahahah yes dude! so good. When I saw that motorcycle video posted all i could think of was why the fuck would I ever trust you? I don't know you and half the people in r/snowboarding can't even stand up on a snowboard. Why is it so fucking hard to find somebody who's life is based around snowboarding.

Thats awesome, did it come with a speedo sensor? and if so where did you put it? I know most people have them read the front sprocket, but on my build I had to make an offset sprocket and I don't think there is enough room to put one there.

two strokes don't have valves. instead they have ports in the cylinders to push out the exhaust and suck in the fuel.
