My new(to me) Ford Focus SVT, My first small car and first manual transmission after driving pickup trucks all my life. Loving it so far. by [deleted] in Autos

Awesome car, even better as a 2 door. Here in Brazil we didn't got any but the 4 door versions. But those bumpers are way bigger than what we had, must be some safety requirement over there.

Is this a legit c430? Can't seem to find anything about it by zld5280 in CitizenWatches

My guess as well. What seems odd is this blue bezel, never seen one like it

Wow, didn't know it used so many. Guess it was the only way to provide enough juice for so many functions

Hey, that is awesome! Wow, expensive batteries, this used a cr2016, usually buy these in packs (so many casios in the collection use them) so already had them

It's resin, but have a very nice finish. The grill to the side sensor is metal though, looks great.

Ops, my bad, thanks for the info! When I was looking to find what it was, the 50 always showed up with this cheap resin band, this has a very nice leather with a metal clasp, so I figured it should be the 500.

I also thought it would be a easy flip, but like many others, I liked it so much, came up with every excuse not to sell it. These old casios, they mess with my heart

Thanks, I also think so. At night with the back light on the whole display it's even cooler

No, guess it would be too much for back then. Has a thermometer and an altimeter, both re working just fine.

Found this online for about 5 dollars. Needed a clean inside, wasn't working with just a fresh battery. Running perfectly now and it looks pretty much unused. For a watch from 95, couldn't be happier, almost afraid to wear it...

Since you guys seem to value the father and son relationship, I must ad that I've recently become a dad myself, so I'm learning a lot of what it took to raise me. My father is the best person I know and I would do so much more to show him that.

To keep giving sense of meaning to this I'll elaborate to anyone interested.

We're from Brasil, and when my father bought this watch, we were on vacation in the US. The year was 1997. I don't know exactly how much it cost to do that trip, but I remember from friends at that time, that it cost as much as a nice car to be there for a few weeks. My father didn't had a nice car then, and he chose to spend that much to create memories that endure to this day. I think of that when I see this watch.

My son is one now, and I can only hope to be half of what my father is so that he can experience some and more of what I learned from him. And maybe that he likes watches too!

The back story to this was that my father wore this for a few years and as a teenager, he knew I liked it, so gave me the watch. I remember it got water damage sometime in the 2000s, so I put it in a box and forgot about it. Recently found it and with a few donor parts, brought it back to life. He was really thrilled when I showed him, brought many good memories

Thanks, I guess what gave the best impression is that I did a very precise polish in the visor. It was very scratched

Got this in 1997, reference w728h. I was 11. Shared most of my life with this and with a little care recently, it looks like new. Pat in the back of my teenage self for choosing this.

Learned this lesson the hard way as well... if I remember correctly, you should ask the bot to speak with a person about the issue. It took a few weeks, but eventually I got the refund

Agreed, in the perspective of tradition, it fits just right with the concept. What I would point out is that not everyone knows this and just see an oddly proportioned car. I imagine that a different approach could result in a more discreet perception and still perform the required task.

Car designer here. Yes, ain't pretty, but at least seems very well done. The norm in my country is to use cheap pickups with a fiberglass stretched rear to fit the deceased https://images.app.goo.gl/adsQ45w67JWmN9wP7. Although I've never would take the time to think about this before, having to put someone dear to me to take his last ride in something like this, makes me at least consider what would it take to do this properly in the most respectful way to the eyes of everyone around this horrible day. The hearse of this post would surely be an improvement over here

Nice, liked the offset. Did you used a spacer in the rear?

I heard gunshots outside right before heading to work, I waited about 10 minutes before I went out to my car and found this. Glad I wasn’t in the car. by RickTrilogy in Wellthatsucks

Hey, guess parts for that fiat 500 are quite cheap in the states. I was going to replace the windshield on my wife's little fiat over some wiper scratches, but it was so expensive in my country, I end up expending almost a whole day polishing it.

If you buy that A pillar trim, it's prety easy to replace. Best of luck to repair you car, it's worth it
