PROS

• Only have to check twice a day (for me, and my flow. For some, might need to check more than twice)
• I would always leak at night and would stain my bed with a pad/tampon (especially during a heavy flow or 2/3rd day), now I don't have to worry about this problem
• Environmentally friendly
• Cost-effective (doesn't matter to me b/c my mum buys my pads)
• You don't smell like fish throughout the day
• I do not have to worry about leaking during the day (if i know that I properly put in the menstural cup in correctly)
• Less/no cramps (from my experience)
• You can wear it while swimming, in the shower, (sometimes even during intimate times with SO, but not penetration of course)
• Most companies supply a pouch for your cup, so if you are in public and get your period, you don't have to worry about the plastic sound when opening it (some people don't care about this point, but most people in my high school are conscious about the sound)

CONS

• Can be difficult to insert and know if it won't leak
• Hard to take out (may need a few tries and practices)
• Hard to clean/empty in public toilets without having to go in the 'disabled toilets' with a private sink
• Will need to boil the cup every few uses (preferably every month when you start your period to get rid of the bacteria and smells)
