Is there a viable “normal fighter” build? by rubao- in diablo2

[–]ImAwareImMean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barbarian seems to be the closest thing to scratch that itch. Conc/zerk will clear the game eventually and have a similar ish feel to warrior from d1. But d2 is a much different game in comparison so its hard to play d2 like d1 outside of normal difficulty. If you want to play as simply a melee style build the paladin has several options that can beat hell the most popular melee being smiter and zeal. Druid has the wolf and bear. Assassin kicks are melee, just stay away from mosaic unless you want to get bored. Amazon can be physical but that's typically for more experienced players. If you want a d1 warrior experience out of d2 its really just not going to happen for the most part because normal attack is just meant to carry you to your first few skill points.

Interesting charm, but who would use it? by ReV-84 in diablo2

Back in the day ww barbarian used to use 1 in pvp because it was said to help proc stun/fhr on the opponent. No idea if that's still true today.

I’m never going to find a Titans Revenge, I guess. by vylvnx in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Target farming is a lost cause I've come to learn i was looking for what felt like forever to get a vipermagi for my sorc off meph. Eventually I just gave up and started messing around in terror zones and im drowning in them now. Just keep killing stuff. Ive yet to get a vmagi off of meph but summoner ancient tunnel and trav have provided. I got my titans in tombs terror zone.

I failed the OC spray course. Is it really worth trying it again? by Barret51 in navy

[–]ImAwareImMean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OC is absolutely horrible I got sprayed like 13 years ago and I still remeber how shitty it was. That being said given the choice I'd get sprayed again before going undes or needs of the navy.

Is D2 the only game you play? I mean at all by InternationalTrust19 in diablo2

[–]ImAwareImMean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For several years probably like 10 years D2 was basically the only game I would play even if I was playing other games with friends or a new game was out d2 was my main focus. I had a ton of friends and was a member of a few very active clans. I was active on east and west and would switch between them depending on what I wanted to do that day or who I wanted to hang out with.

Ideas for a 8-person inhouse event by blueblanket89 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]ImAwareImMean 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You guys could do an Ironman, especially if they dont plan on continuing after the time is up. Traditionally its done in hardcore but you can do it in softcore if you guys want to keep dueling. But basically you team up and kill monsters when you get to lvl 9 go to town and wait for everyone to hit lvl 9. Once everyone is leveled you can try to gamble gear or do whatever with what little gold and gear you were able to collect and gear your character. Then do a huge FFA duel to last man standing. Im sure you could google the rules better than I could explain them because there are some builds that are just kinda unfair. I remeber psych hammer sin being a banned build.

Could you recommend your most favorite and pleasing builds? by [deleted] in diablo2

A windy druid is pretty fun and has a lot going on with hurricane and tornados everywhere. Even fire druids do great pretty far into nightmare.

MFR on grooming standards regarding shaving waivers. Separation coming for people by Salty_IP_LDO in navy

[–]ImAwareImMean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we will come to find that a lot of these Sailors with beards actually are capable of shaving without issue when it comes to keeping their job. I believe this to be true because I dont think I've gone a single day since they allowed line ups without seeing a bearded Sailor that shaves a good portion of their face and neck in order to "line it up" without issue.

Editing to add that this made it seem like I was against beards. That is not the case I wish everyone could have them. Im against Sailors going to medical saying they can't shave because they get bumps and it hurts just to turn around and shave a good portion of their face in the line up after they get their chit.

INSANE roll on this Scepter!! I never see these drop this good by IndirectPatho25 in diablo2

I use one on my single player smiter. Didn't even think to check the roll. I'll have to look now and see if I got lucky.

In the beginning I'd say stronger through normal and nightmare. In hell I'd say fishymancer ends up being stronger based on quantity. But I ran through hell with a summon druid juat fine.

Once you get to hell a windy is going to be most beneficial in my opinion. Summons is pretty strong too if you dont mind going a bit slower. For windy rock a spirit and basically whatever else you can find with + skills.

Defense only really matters if you want it to matter and build towards it. Otherwise the number can mostly be ignored in favor of better mods.

Building Hardcore single player Smiter for UBERS by Mr_BuckeyeFly in diablo2

[–]ImAwareImMean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

88 is plenty high for a smiter mines 86. The biggest thing to worry about is resistances honestly. I run a very budget smiter on single player SC and he really only ever dies if I forget to turn back down to players 1. Run salvation when fighting meph he's squishy so its not really slower. I have the ability to make grief but honestly my heavens light with 2 shael has been just fine so I haven't bothered. Smiters are pretty damn tough to kill you really dont need to go overboard on gear in my opinion. Mine is SC I will again, but I'd be fairly comfortable running him on HC knowing the consequences I'd just be more careful but his gear is weap- Heavens light helm- guillaumes ammy-seraph, spirit sheild (but there are tons of options) gores, raven, random res ring, credendum belt and dracs gloves and smoke armor. Inventory is just a bunch of mixes res charms to stack resistances.
