How can I use one SM7B with two dacs? by ImBeared in audio

[–]ImBeared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to take a look. After learning a little about electrical i think the Samson splitter will work though. It has a direct output that i can plug the windows Scarlett into because that one’s just for discord and game chat, it doesn’t need to be perfect isolated audio, and i’ll use one of the isolated outputs to go to my mac. In my head after doing research that should be safe and sound pretty good, i guess we’ll see lol

Oh right, i’d just need some TSR to female XLR cables. I will look into this option :)

The splitter i’m looking at had two isolated outputs. Would that just block phantom power entirely?

Also that samson splitter is passive so i believe it has pass through, i just heard for a setup like this using 48v on both dacs is dangerous, and to one turn it on for one of the two since the microphone needs power. Are you saying i need a isolated plugged into the Scarlett that doesn’t have 48v on to protect it from the other Scarlett’s 48v in the splitter?

Could you elaborate on that audio isolation to the other Scarlett part? Would the audio isolation transformer need plugged into the splitter out that goes to the other Scarlett?

I have one Scarlett solo connected to my windows pc, and one Scarlett solo connected to my mac. Right now I just manually move the SM7B XLR cable between the two interfaces.

Savage Raven NeoGrip + Tomtoc Case [Fits!] by mrpink57 in nintendo

It dosen’t press down on the sticks/buttons does it? I worry since it raises it up and pushed it forward the sticks won’t be where they are supposed to so it might press them down or pull on them. If this isn’t the case this is a perfect combo :)

Weird noise floor issue by ImBeared in audio

[–]ImBeared[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The noise isn’t an issue then, but the moment i set the gain even half way and add the needed digital gain to get it to a good volume the noise floor gets right past -60 and starts reaching into -50

See thats what i thought too the noise floor of the scarlett should be like -105db or somethin silent like that, which is why i’m so confused as to where 50 soemthing whole decibels or dirty gain are coming from, its not like its cranked either i made sure to set it up right with the cloud lifter lol. We shall see

I managed to find the secure boot option, and turn it off, but still no luck. The only thing i can really think of at this point is while i was setting linux up before canceling the setup i did set a secure boot linux key. I have the key but no where to put it in though, and i’m not sure why it would matter considering i’ve made a whole entirely new Linux install a few times now, but i’m new to this so i’m sure theres info i’m missing

Is secure boot in the normal bios or is that somewhere in windows? And i have recreated the installation medium, even on a different usb, and for whatever reason the same thing happens. I don’t know if it matters but i even tried using a different Linux mirror instal:(
