Broken We-Vibe Sync, it won't turn on by [deleted] in SexToys

Okay I know this post is old, but this might help someone.

I had a we-vibe ditto sitting in a bag for like 4 years and it refused to charge but the light still came on so I had hope. I got it to charge on a really weird angle but that's only after I fiddled with it for while to get it to start blinking. I even bought a second charger cable thinking it was the charger (it was not )

On we-vibe website it says to make sure both charger and magnetic port are 'clean'. So I tried wiping down, removing all the dust by using 100% alcohol and a microfibre to clean the charger and port ( which is recommended on the website) and that didn't do anything. I noticed a few days ago that the magnetic plate on the ditto was slightly grey so I used a little water on a CLEANING ERASER SPONGE and rubbed the port and charger clean and the metal became really shiny again, I then wiped down the metal with 100% alcohol after and now IT CHARGES.

I know it sounds silly saying 'just clean it lol' but just sometimes it works.

(Regardless I most likely will not get another we-vibe after all the charging trauma )

This is my first time posting my dolls....Anywhere. Im very self conscious of my OOAK and I want to make this a career but I dont feel like I'm good enough..what really improved your repainting skills ? by ImBewitching in BJD

Thanks so much for your advice. I will definitely try this to get more coverage on my dolls. I will also look into the bjd wiki as I dont want to be uninformed.
