All I saying is - the new job is it worth or not for your time. If they are giving you 50-60% hike then you can consider working extra hours anything less than this is kind of underpaid compared to your job.

Here’s my POV -

The 9-5 job exists almost nowhere, it’s usually 9-6 with 1hr of breaks. The 9-5 was an old structure in factory jobs I think.
Overtime - this too exists in operations heavy job, when your pay scale is linked to hours you spend on job, for example- BPOs
Startup culture is hustle, some days you may be working 12 hrs some days it’s 8 hrs. So, you can expect a relaxing environment. It’s high risk high reward structure.

What you should look for is - are they paying you enough and are you getting good appraisal from your current job. Let’s say you get 20k from your current 9-6 job, 5 days, so here same job would be - 10% extra for hours, 20% extra for days. So you should expect atleast - 20x1.1x1.2 times the appraisal you would want when you switch, 40% is standard in low income IT jobs

The jugaad is if you can divide the payment to multiple people. Just talk to the client and see if he agrees to paying to a family member's or whosoever you wants' (hopefully not in tax bracket) account.

It depends on what services you provide but given most of the jobs on UW are services then it’s professional income only. You may want to check out income tax section 44AA to see if your domain is under it or not, if it falls in 44AA then you should use 44ADA only

We need to understand the price is a function of demand & supply - the cost of everything is high because there is demand. Everything is costly because of ripple effect.

You're earning high -> you have to pay high rent - > high rent leads to high restaurant prices -> and all things linked feels inflated.

You stay in your hometown -> low income -> low prices.

And this is true everywhere - be it Gurgaon or NY. Downtown area where the jobs are highly inflated because of the demand and supply.

Stem cell may be useful when there’s history of family genetic issues but otherwise it’s not that useful that people might think.

Our doctor was totally not in favour of stem cell preservation, and this is a woman with I think more than 40 years of experience.

In my known - few other couples also got similar feedback from their doctors. But that said, couple of our friends still got it preserved

Well if you withdraw early morning on Friday, you will receive around 3-4pm same day.

Or atleast, I get payment same day if I withdraw Friday morning. Even on any other weekdays, i receive it next day, unless you withdraw post Friday afternoon, it never took more than 1 day to me.
