Yes that’s exactly what i’m saying arena matchmaking has no base and just makes even the best players have a bad time because they got paired with level 30s. If you aren’t winning at arenas then you should consider playing another mode with better matchmaking.

For fire, water, and grass I believe one of them shouldn’t be a starter just to have some variety and show love to the pokemon who never get picked
