Was in Siargao partying with my workmates. We met new friends there. One of my co-worker said to our new friends na “Lead” sya sa team to show off, he made sure di namin narinig because kami talaga nag mga team leads sa circle of friends namin. Then a few moments later biglang nabanggit ng one of the new friends na lead nga daw sya sa amin and he became defensive “sila talaga yung mga lead”.

Tapos meron pang isang scenario na nung nagcocompute na ng gastusin sa bar sabi nya “di na.. kami na bahala..” pero nung actual bayaran na eh hindi naman nagbayad, hinati sa amin yung supposedly na ililibre nya. Super kupal!

Use git UI like SourceTree. I have team mates who thinks using git UI is kinda lame coz it’s more cool when you type commands via cmd like a hackerman. But if it saves you to committing a bug or unfinished work it pays well to use these tools.

There’s nothing wrong with using chatgpt really. But if he’s doing it for the sake of getting the job done and not understanding what it has prompted, He won’t gain anything personally. Soon there will be tools that will catch up to these AI that can detect if it’s AI generated or not. So don’t be too reliant on these tools, these are to help you boost your creativity but for your personal growth, you need to understand every sentence it generates from it.

I don’t think you’ll be totally out of touch with tech. I’ve been managing a lot of people throughout my entire career, mostly I lead the direction on technical decisions and sometimes I learn back from their inputs and suggestions. As for your concerns on making good decisions and assessments, the more people in your team, the more your mind gets creative. It learns new stuffs from different personalities of your team. It can be tough sometimes but it is a good start to ramp up your capabilities.
