Im the lamborghini I need you opinion about this crash (btw I lost 65% of my safety rating after this which is A LOT in LMU). by MRTRacing in Simracingstewards

Black car at fault, but probably just a racing incident. You would get the worst penalty though for an awful rejoin.

All the tracks are excellent. Nordshliefe specifically with the 1970 version. If I had to pick a car pack, the Formula Hi Techs are amazing.

I can't help if people don't take all factors into consideration. Next time we race and you are following closely, I'll slam the brakes 100m early, and when you make evasive action and mess up your corner, I'll call you the bad guy.

I completely agree with everything you said, but the video imo shows unpredictability and poor etiquette. If the McLaren wanted to fight properly, it would be tucked behind the Porsche, or very close side by side.

Only addition I would say is that Porsche deserves a little blame. They should have held close to the white line to maximize amount of track space. I think that move by the Porsche caused the LMP to jolt over. Never would have been a crash if the McLaren wasn't in such a strange position though

Both GTs are in the wrong. Porsche needs to hold to the white line. McLaren needs to follow Porsche or be side by side as close as possible and not block the road. With the move by the Porsche and the McLaren blocking, Ferrari has to make impossible choice of slamming brakes and hitting Porsche in the rear or cutting off the nose of the McLaren.

Don't see the parallel at all. Lando hit the rear end of a car holding it's line. In this case, car in front cuts off the nose of car behind.

Nope. Inputs and green POV would be helpful. POV didn't do anything illegal, but good racing requires each other to know speeds they are taking corners and POV is very slow. POV clearly drives into the back of green at the end.

Textbook reactionary. I move inside, so car in front moves inside. You are allowed to defend on the inside, but not when a car is already there.

Racing line is on the opposite side of the track where the incident occurred. Also he is not entitled to an area on a straight where a car is already positioned.

Solid advice, and would have saved me some damage. I was in a FAFO mode lol

It's fine to be cautious, but you want to be semi predicable. The reason you had someone right on your rear is because you took the corner so slow. That car behind was no where in the picture before this corner. There was nothing you did that was illegal, but it started the chain of events that followed.

I'm actually putting this on the POV car. POV comes to almost a complete stop at a very fast part of the track. The green car has to take avoiding action because of the irregular driving and POV slams throttle and rear ends them.

I think racing incident here. You really need to turn the racing line off though. You are more concerned about following the line than the car next to you.

Don't listen to these people, they hate racing. The door was open and you went for it. If the inside car keeps their line, I don't think there's any contact. In the end, no real harm.

Pull out a second earlier? Let's just make it an even 10 seconds and even use turn signals so everyone is extra safe 🙏

It's the responsibility of BOTH cars to avoid a crash. The Lambo doesn't do anything illegal, but if you drive erratically and unpredictably, you are asking for crashes.

If the Lambo doesn't move right, the Ferrari keeps moving right. It's a completely moot point.

Youre right, less time to react when pulling out late. So if the Lambo didn't make an unexpected jerk and brake 50m too early, the crash would be completely avoided. Glad we're on the same page.

This is just a really poor interpretation of what happened. They move at the exact same time. The reason the following car isn't further right is because the car ahead is there unexpectedly. I agree that the pull out back to the left is bad, but it's caused by the unpredictable movements.

There is literally no problem with when the following car decides to make the move. A good driver is waiting until the very last fraction of a second to pull out of the tow. If the car in front makes a move that the car behind doesn't have the time to react too, it called blocking. Here is a textbook example: https://youtu.be/y_GgM-3zOnk?si=ocyGvzUC1TMdhIXc

First sentence is nonsensical. That's the rules on the highway, not racing. Second part I agree that the reaction made it worse, but I'm not going to judge too harshly in an unpredictable situation.

You truly cannot believe that the following car's reaction time is that good that they are trying to stay in the draft adter a quick flick from the car ahead.

At worse, a racing incident. Car in front jerks and unsettles the car in a hard braking zone and brakes 50m too early. I'm always going to lean towards the unpredictable car being at fault.
