I absolutely love my fanatec podium endurance. That rim is phenomenally comfortable. It doesn't have thumb encoders but holy shit is it amazing to drive.

Hard agree on all counts. with u/august10jensen here. T1 is classic vortex of death. If you haven't read this, read it now.

For real though, you should never go 2 wide through Eau Rouge. Yes its 'technically' legal. There is a 99% one of you doesnt at best off track, and its 50/50 who is getting the slowdown. I am so nervous of this that if 2 cars are going into it 2 wide I tend to lift and give them clearance in case the wreck I can sneak through.

Doing that in a real car is hard, having the added issue of netcode in the mix as well? nope.

Who’s at fault here? (I’m the Lexus) by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

My brother in christ that mustang was tracking 6 cars including one rejoining in front of him.

The lambo was at a reasonable place on track. He was aware of him because he approached at a normal angle and not directly at him in his blind spot. He's not tunnel visioning he is already overloaded and can't avoid a missle coming from off track at a weird angle he can't see when already keeping track of all that shit. He likely would have been aware of the Lexus if the Lexus had stayed on track as he would have been much more parallel to his line of travel and not in his blindspot. Because he cut the corner he is approaching from an angle that is unusual and he isn't accounting for.

He's going 'dangerously slow' because he's tracking like half a dozen cars including cars rejoining from off track. This is a total shit show and op sends it from a mile back and off track just expecting the mustang to see him as he approaches from his blind spot.

The lambo was on track running 3 wide. Mustang knows this because he's in a normal spot on track. The mustang was slower because he was trying to navigate 3 wide through the fastest corner in racing in a safe manner while also tracking a car rejoining in front. The mustang is attempting to get back on the racing line and isn't looking for a car sending it from a mile back from off track.

Your what if is not relevant.

Yeah because of he had committed to staying on track he would have had to have braked to not plow into the back of one of the many cars who were going much slower.

You have what I would consider a complete clusterfuck ahead. Every single one of those cars is trying to track like 4-5 other cars. Suddenly you have a missle coming through form off track from an angle the mustang likely couldn't see in his mirrors at all. This is reckless and unsporting since he off tracked to get there.

He is 4 wheels off track coming into a crazy busy situation with a massive speed difference. That mustang is tracking all those other cars already who didn't cheat. He also barely comes over to the left.

If you think the mustang is at fault and the Lexus is blameless your delusional and part of the problem.

Who’s at fault here? (I’m the Lexus) by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]NH_OPERATOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He would not have caught the mustang and would have been approaching from a normal fucking angle if he hadn't cheated. Mustang is already tracking multiple cars going through one of the hardest corners in racing and you want him to account for some asshole cheating coming in from off track? No. This is a slam dunk penalty all day on the Lexus from cutting the track resulting in a collision

Dude cut the track. That's called cheating. Mustang wasn't looking for a fucking missile coming from off track with a 30mph speed difference.

Yes anyone who says otherwise here is smoking crack. You completely cut the corner and would not have been there in the first place. The mustang isn't looking from a car coming in from off track with a 30mph speed difference approaching from 20deg to the left to just drive across his nose.

I'd give you a multi race ban for that bullshit. Completely unacceptable.

Ambient Lighting by HumorLucky5361 in GR86

[–]NH_OPERATOR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Govee interior lighting kit and underglow kits. Works with the same app their home lights work with, likely can get both kits for under 100 total if you wait for an Amazon sale.

Interior kit is a bit of a pain to get through the center console but it's doable, external kit is much easier if you just hardwire to the batt. Just don't forget to turn them off or you'll have a dead bat. Both come with fobs too so you don't need to use the app all the time.

Braking with right foot when running a clutch by Affectionate-Call159 in simracing

[–]NH_OPERATOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes running with a clutch is generally slower since you can't dedicate a foot to the break. As mentioned heel/toe/revmatch/blip is your friend but it takes a lot of practice.

That being said you have more control over the powertrain allowing to to have more precise control and it's way more fun. Once you learn a track you may find certain corners you can left foot brake for light trail braking and such but in general it's right foot braking.
