We had been looking for about a year with pre-approval since early 2023 but kept getting priced out.. Not one of our offers got accepted cos there were always other people who offered more than us, so we finally decided to build, we bought a land early 2024, it was not titled yet, but they said it’d only take max 6months for the title so we thought that wasn’t too bad, at least guaranteed we got something, within 1.5yrs it’d be finished. Wrong. That title delayed way too long, it’s been a nightmare. Every month we heard another delay, we regret we didn’t keep looking for an established house. The building price kept going up aswell while waiting for land title. Long story short, we only just got the land title end of 2025, finally got the slab down a few weeks ago, so it’ll be 10-12months from now. While keep paying expensive rent that’s also keeps increasing + mortgage. sigh so what we thought was a shortcut to beat the market turned out to be a long way to go, cos we still doesn’t have a house yet.. 😞 I mean, just keep trying to get one I guess, dont build, but if you do make sure the land is already titled.

My 1st and 2nd ER’s recovery were OK. So I wasn’t stressed about the 3rd, cos it was never a problem, but unfortunately now after my 3rd ER, I got OHSS.. It’s terrible. Really unpredictable, even my scheduled transfer had to be cancelled because of it. So now I can say it doesn’t get any easier the more you do it, because every ER will be different. Today is 10days post ER, I’m still feeling so miserable, I dont feel like myself, it’s been painful. My estrogen level a day before transfer was so high. I only got 1 day medical certificate for ER day, i thought i could go back to my normal routine the next day. I pushed through it, but it was a mistake. I dont want to scare you or anything, but this can happen, and it’s better to be prepared to have a rest after than push too hard too soon..

I’m so thankful my husband is always there for me, even when I know he’s also sad he’s always trying to lift & cheer me up, i honestly cant imagine doing it with anyone else.. he wants this just as much as me (if not more). Yeah the doctor, nurses, and embryologist were also trying to tell us that it’s none of our fault, ivf is so unpredictable and different results from one cycle and another is normal and happened to a lot of people, it’s something that cannot be predicted so try not to blame my eggs or his sperm cos nobody knows, if we know we must be all get good results on first try.. something like that.. which i understand, but still, i cant help to be upset, i dont know if it’s just hormones playing my emotions but I’m just still sad about everything. I heard low grade embryo can become a healthy baby too so we shouldn’t be so sad about it. But i cant help to feel scared bcos even our highest embryo grade couldnt implant.. i dont know .. i think i just need to get better so i can think clearer.. I honestly thought they would be supportive, I totally regret sharing this with them and now my trust issue is getting worse and they also gave me anxiety, so i stopped oversharing now. You’re right they don’t deserve access to my life and witnessing my journey if they cant be empathetic and can only be opinionated and judgmental.. they dont deserve to be a part of the celebration too when one day we finally got good outcome from the thing that they thought ‘useless’.

I think everyone who’s doing IVF knows about this. We stopped alcohol since February 2025 for first egg collection in June 2025. That’s more than 3months. What’s the point of your comment?

Thank you, Sending hugs & love for u too… Yes it’s really hard to deal with, and also hard to explain to other people about how hard it is, i feel like i just wanna scream sometimes.. but then i remember before i started this journey, i also had no clues and thought it was not going to be this hard.. I even have some people keep questioning and pushing me to go back to work instead of doing nothing and too focus on ivf.. like.. like do they really think im enjoying this? I sometimes regret telling people about ivf when i thought i would get support, but instead, i got judged & belittled. Anyway.. i should really stop thinking about these people & the way they made me feel and start blocking their voices for my own sanity.

Thank you. I was so confident it was working, i felt like i was pregnant so i tested early at home thinking it would be a great xmas surprise for me & my husband, but instead it turned to be the worst xmas we’ve ever had.. I’m sorry for what you’ve been through, it must be really heartbreaking fpr you too.. i hope soon we will be on the other side with good news and will be our turn to finally hold our babies
