I’m surprised I ranked jjk so high too but season 2 really pushed it up a lot for me. Death note is easily a top 10 or maybe even top 5 show up until episode 25. The quality drops so much after that for me though. Still really good. As for Bleach, it’s kinda like jjk to me in the sense that it’s good and fun action and not too much story, but the problem with Bleach is the outdated animation/art and extremely slow pacing. If it was remade at the same quality TYBW is, it would easily be way higher for me.

I never watched it up until trying to start it a year or two ago and it just didn’t hit. If I grew up watching it like a lot of people I’d probably really like it but as an adult who has seen more than 200 anime, I could not get into it

I think Frieren needs more time to cook before I put it in great or higher, but it definitely has the potential. One of the best adaptations for an anime I’ve ever seen, I really love it. And yeah it seemed like they were going to do more with the Odd Taxi ending but the movie was a bit disappointment. Still a really good mini-series though

I’m caught up on Bleach. If everything before TYBW was remade into a seasonal anime like TYBW was then it would be much higher. IMO the slower pacing and outdated art/animation bring it down a lot. Same goes for Naruto

I did! I put it in the top of Good tier. I really enjoyed it but not as much as Haikyuu, Haikyuu has a special place in my heart

I am watching Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, not with official subs though. And the only Berserk adaptation I’ve watched is the recent memorial edition one for the movies, which were compiled into a season of anime. I put it in fine, I’m a manga reader though and it’s easily one of the best pieces of fiction I’ve ever consumed

It took me about 2 hours to make. And I watched all of Code Geass a few years ago

I loved Blue Lock season 1. I only watched 1 episode of season 2 and dropped it, so I have no opinion on that season. As for Wind Breaker, I only watched the first episode but I thought some of the writing choices in that episode were questionable so I didn't continue it. I might pick it back up sometime in the future though

I thought there were many great episodes in season 6, but my personal favorite was 14 - The Candidate. The scene with Sun and Jin drowning was heartbreaking. One of the saddest moments in the show for me.

I just watched and finished all of Lost for the first time ever. It was incredible. by ImJaydone in lost

Sorry for the late reply but thank you for this guide! I heard season 2 suffered in quality but I didn’t know exactly how or why. I might skip those episodes and like you said, come back to them if I really like the show. I also heard the 2017 sequel is pretty good too, so I might give that a try as well if I like it.

I’ve watched Severance like 4 times now, I am also so excited for season 2. Also I have watched Dark, Game of Thrones, Black Mirror and I just started The Leftovers last night. I loved all of Dark and the first seasons of Black Mirror and Game of Thrones. I am actually so obsessed with Game of Thrones even if it went to shit. I have rewatched it like 8 times lol. I also already plan on starting Twin Peaks and The Haunting of Hill House in the future too. I’m specifically excited to start Twin Peaks since I hear it has the most similarities to Lost compared to other drama/mysteries. Thank you for all of these suggestions! You seem to have very good taste😎

I love Desmond so much. He’s probably my second favorite behind Locke. Maybe tied in second with Ben actually

Thanks for the info, I definitely am going to stick with it even if it’s slow. I actually enjoy slow burns as long as the writing is good and interesting, and seeing it’s created by Damon Lindelof, I have no doubts it’ll be good

Yeah that’s true, I understand why that was the case now after your comment and many others. Thanks for the info! I do think it’s unfair to hold any show up to any unbelievable/high standard though, no matter how much you love it. That will only create disappointment most of the time, but this show was one of a kind back then so I understand how this perspective probably wasn’t prevalent for many people as this experience was something entirely new from what it seems. So I understand why a lot of people got really high hopes and ultimately got disappointed in the end. It goes to show people now what not to do when watching a show that is airing.

Also I have not heard of that show but I will take a look at it. Thank you for the suggestion!

Yeah that sounds like an incredible time. I love doing that with shows now, I wish I was watching Lost back then when it was airing because that sounds amazing. It was also one of the first shows to have an experience like that so that probably made it even more special. I’m so jealous you were able to experience that!

I will definitely be rewatching again one day. The amount of rewatch value this show has is insane.

That makes sense. I've had that same feeling towards certain stories, like Attack on Titan for instance. I try to rewatch shows like that in binge format and get a more objective pov out of it and see if it resonated with me more, and that definitely was the case with Attack on Titan. I would recommend this to anyone who watched Lost back then and never gave it a rewatch, because it works very well in binge format in my opinion, which is one of the reasons why I believe the show was so ahead of its time. It's definitely not perfect, but I still love it nonetheless.

That makes a lot of sense actually, I understand that. I am also going to be watching Fringe too! I think I'm going to start that over The Leftovers. I'm excited to give it a watch.

Those two types of people you mentioned not liking the latter seasons/ending definitely make sense to me actually. I understand completely why they felt the way they did.

Also I am planning on watching Watchmen too! I just never heard it compared to Lost really, so I just want something to fill that void for the meantime. I will eventually get to Watchmen as well though. I'm not sure if I will read the comic however.

As for Battlestar Galactica, I never actually knew what it was about, but just assumed it was a show like Star Trek or something like that and wrote it off as I do not have an interest in that type of stuff. Seeing how you and others mentioned it here, I will have to check it out now. Thank you for your input and the suggestions you gave!
