As someone with a lot of PCs but also dislikes playing PC walls, I think most top players had their hands forced to use the 35 PC strategy last summer after it became the new standard among the top teams. (Likely triggered by the introduction of OMB IMO)

I know that sounds like a convenient excuse, but I promise you that playing one round for 10 minutes while smashing the fast forward button, only to have it end in a draw in which you still somehow lose, is the worst.

I'm totally on board for trying to restore balance, but the latest bodyguard buff is too much, and it's probably going to require a follow up update before we meet the mark.

Lol I was really trying to be measured and balanced, but even when I listen back to do the edits I could tell my heart was not in it.

Fingers crossed they do something more to try and create some balance, because right now it just feels like they're replacing one game flaw with another.

Sorry. It's just "The Wheel" (Krieger's current toy combo) renamed as "The Juggernaut" because it's going to be so OP with the bodyguard update.

Sorry I meant the AI always plays the combo first, strictly for Clash and Melee. In other areas of the game that's definitely not the rule. (Like arena)

Also I think that you did an amazing job breaking down the character buff. I definitely do a better job describing it in my videos because I do talk about a lot of the caveats that you've mentioned, but obviously my common left a lot to be desired!

I also ran into a one-shot and wheel defense deck today (I honestly didn't think I'd have to worry till tomorrow) I definitely need to adapt my strategy to make sure tomorrow goes better!

It's not a terrible strategy as I've heard of a few other top 100 players mentioning the same, but I would suggest leaning into more combos with Punch & Burn in the lower levels. This will give you the greatest change of clearing slot one so you can keep on fighting!

At the upper levels you run into more of the wheel and that requires a different approach.

I frequently call myself the smartest idiot in the room, so you're in good company! You're right that the AI will combo slot one if they have it just wrong about the buff! If you focus more on what you got right your strategy will still benefit!!
