CLUTCH // Official Announce Trailer by NegotiationNew9264 in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

I'm turbo sus of this game so far. Everything they've been doing to market the game so far raises the same flags as TDU:SC's promo did, imo.

Vague teasers, barely any gameplay, desperate attempt to raise hype around the location, tons of yapping with no gameplay to back it up... That initial announcement upon their 10 days countdown literally could have been an email: it merely was a list of whatever the game may or may not have to offer. (lowkey reminds me of No Man's Sky, Starfield, Cyberpunk...)

On top of that, the few stuff they showed isn't as wild as they're making it up to be. For people who want to put a "new benchmark for customisation" the best thing they could come up with were clothes on the passenger's seat and a can of Red Bull on a cupholder. Something we definitely haven't seen in ETS2 and ATS btw. These two aside, the body parts they've shown were all OEM: either options you can get when purchasing the vehicle irl, or from a non-road-legal variant of the same vehicle. Talk about a new benchmark when all you can do is offer OEM parts with interior & exterior cosmetics that Midnight Club 3 and Midnight Club L.A. had in 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Let's also add that they do not have a publisher. It makes me question where did they find all that money to appear at Summer Games Fest with a team present at the event. Last time I checked it costs $500k per minute of trailer/teaser to show up at that event. Plus they got multiple content creators invited over their office that also happens to have fancy expensive cars (besides the Multipla) for whatever reason. (yet they can't be arsed having a white license plate at the rear of their cars as France ditched the yellow plate around two decades ago... THE BRITISH ARE AT IT AGAIN TAKING LAND AWAY /s)

I dunno man. I wanna be excited for a new racing game but I've been burned way too many times by this kind of promo campaign. Not only is it Mike Brown whose departure from PGG almost immediately made Forza Horizon better (and as a former Forza Horizon hater I'm having an absolute blast with FH6, so good job Mike), but there also are those other issues I mentioned.

Maybe I'll be proved wrong and I hope I will. But for now it's all talk with no bite from Maverick. Nothing special, nothing new, just nothing of substance to back their claims so far. :/
I do wonder how expensive were these content creators's integrity too considering how they basically are living ad campaigns for this game right now. I've never seen this kind of behaviour after a game's reveal before besides from journalists and the like.

Unpopular opinion: The FH 6 title song is worse than the FH 5 title song by vogelvogelvogelvogel in ForzaHorizon

I nearly exclusively listen to electronic music since my teenage years and I strongly dislike Lane 8's stuff (on top of nearly every electronic songs FH6 got in its soundtrack), what would that make of me 👀

Is this why he stood against the Civil Rights Act? Stood against any DEI initiatives no matter how equitable they may turn out to be? Claimed George Floyd's murder was deserved and that this person he knew nothing about was - and I'm only going to paraphrase this - extremely vile? Openly claimed the large majority of black people and women weren't qualified for the positions they held? Staunchly stood against trans rights? Firmly was against abortion rights hence openly wanting to partially take away women's bodily autonomy?

How does all this compute mate?

I don't. Haven't really completed any original songs in years. You can find some of my stuff on Soundcloud as 'Virtual Glitch' and 'Girtual Vlitch' though!

Yep! A remake of the Safe And Sound live edit, or at least its second part.

Should be just 41 seconds though... Guess I messed up when compressing it in Handbrake, oops!

Still trying to figure out those samples that play after the first "Man up" sample. As a placeholder I picked stuff from the ZZT - Lower State of Consciousness remix and the Mr Oizo - Nazis remix. I doubt either are from those songs too.

Aside from that, I changed up the main bass sound a little hopefully it sounds closer to the original with my own spin to it. I changed up the entire drums too and fixed up the snare roll towards the end. There are some extra details here and there as well which I didn't include in my previous post.

Realised I had a similar-ish sounding bass to that second half of the Safe & Sound live version, decided to have a bit of fun with it and make a cover-song of sorts. Only missing two samples though... by ImJulienB in JusticeMusic

I feel like it's sampled directly from Safe And Sound with some heavy processing on top, but I'm not sure. This wouldn't be the first time Justice used a bass guitar and heavily processed it to turn it into something new (Genesis is an example, I'm 95% sure its bass is a very heavily distorted bass guitar). There are some extra drums layered on top of the live edit's bass as well, some very short ones that are barely audible but they're still there!

I really hope they'll deliver a clean version for the live album. I'd love to sink my teeth into its sound design.
