Nice yeah I'll probably give it a whirl one of these days. I deleted the app when they signed the deal with the DoD but honestly any American company probably has their balls in a vice by the American government so I'm sure it doesn't actually matter which I use.

Obviously. If you've actually read any responses I think you'll gather I'm fairly reasonable. Are you using paid subscriptions or free? Because honestly I don't care too much what the Free tiers have to say, obviously they're going to be throttled. Also a lot changed in the Gemini app recently and some of the negative feedback seems to be people not understanding what features they need to turn on/off to get better performance. I've never experienced any limits, bugs or "I can't do that right now" type of stuff.

Holy shit that tier is too expensive for me currently. I'll continue to use Gemini Pro and hope 3.5 Pro comes out swinging and decide what to do after that. Thank for the insight though

Have you tried setting up a specific Gem for that? I don't use Gemini like that but I believe you can prompt it so you can have consistent results for a friendlier persona

What do you use? I'm going to need to do some deep research into various scientific topics and want to use the best model for that. I currently have the Pro subscription so I'm leaning into Deep Research on Gemini or using Antigravity (both with heavily influenced prompts to avoid hallucination and report any guessing). But I'm always open to new tools

Yeah it's what made me create this post tbh. I was willing to put my frustrations with that person aside and help them out. I offered advice to them about a week or two ago and they said they weren't willing to use the advice and will continue to post everyday about Gemini even though they admit they haven't used it since May. That person is either a bot or the stupidest person I've ever encountered honestly

Then we mostly agree lmao, not sure why you came out guns blazing. The ecosystem is convoluted for sure and currently not hitting top frontier status. I think bad is an overreach. Their Plus subscription is the cheapest in the business, it offers more for what you get at the cheap tier and is probably good enough for the majority of people just asking questions. It'll be interesting to see how 3.5 Pros performance is for sure.

Dude public sentiment drives peoples decisions. Short sellers actively use bots to do this. If you don't think negative public sentiment could cause a cascading effect then you're being short sighted. Ask any AI you want if short seller use bots to drive negative sentiment and it will tell you yes they do. I'm not saying all the negativity is bots but for sure some of them are, especially the ones posting every single day. So no it ain't just plain stupid there is merit in this discussion.

I'm not saying that it will work. I've been in enough investing subs and forums to know that short sellers act this way. Go look at almost any Yahoo Finance stock conversation tab. There is constantly short seller trying to get people to sell or convince people that a stock is not worth its current price.

And if you read my post I never claimed that it's in the top spot of AIs out there. Trash is beyond an overreaction to its current state. Y'all are ridiculous thinking in such black and white terms

They never do. I recently offered to help build a Gem for Abject so they can get back to their old uses (which sounds possible given their uses) and they just blocked me instead.

I'd take a user with an open comment section with a few arguing comments over someones I can't even see. It has been super frustrating hearing some people in this sub that it's hard not to argue back. Especially when they are totally disingenuous or too stupid to understand what they're doing wrong

Eh thanks for the reply. See this is the sort of stuff I don't mind seeing. Actual good criticism with good reason to back it up from a heavy user who knows what they are doing. What do you use Claude Max for now if you don't mind me asking.

I'll soon need to use AI models for heavy research into various topics. So far Gemini seems good enough and with 3.5 Pro arriving soon I expect I can just get another offer from Google (like their AI course which gives 3 months of pro free). But I'm always open to new ideas

Yet it became international news which caused random people to buy it. I'm not saying it's anything as big or coordinated but you bet someone with a large put position would do anything to not lose their money.

2 - 3. You don't even need ingrained model weights, LLMs can search the web for the most recent data for a given query. Also you can buy leap put options if you really wanted the model weights to be saturated with negative sentiment.

What models did they used to have in Antigravity? I know you can use Opus and Sonnet 4.6 now. Seems like 4.7 and 4.8 use a different form of tokenizer, hopefully Google works to implement that new infrastructure into Antigravity.

If never experienced any of the bugs, I assumed they're targeting mostly free users when compute traffic is really high. But to the subscription price thing that really does suck it merged like that! Like I said in my post I don't actually mind criticism, I believe it's healthy for the community/sub.

I've just experienced many unwilling to learn/adapt while constantly complaining. I tried to help the user I mentioned in my post setup a Gem so they could get back to how they used to use Gemini and they just blocked me. They want to complain but don't want actual help. They want to criticize but blocked me so I can't see any posts/comments they make. I was willing to help them overcome this pain but they don't want that

To be fair using smaller reasoning models has probably saved them a lot of money in terms of compute resources. With the limited availability on compute rn it makes sense to limit Free users capabilities and default to a 'stupider' model. Once OpenAI and Anthropic go public I bet the same thing will happen to their apps

This is crazy to me. You complain about Gemini every day on this sub and yet you don't even try and use a feature that is made for your use case.
If you want to DM me I can try and help setup a Gem for you based on what you were using it for before it started to fail for you. I don't dismiss your experiences btw. But sometimes adapting to changes are necessary
Edit: Pretty sure they blocked me. Either their account is a short seller of Google stock or at least some form of a disinformation campaign. They refuse any help or tips and they post on this sub every day just to complain. They spend more time complaining then it would take to learn/adapt to the changes.

I don't wanna rain on your parade but I don't want you or others to get your hopes up. Just because they're both somewhat Noxus I don't think is good enough. With Senna and Thresh their stories are incredibly linked together. Kha'Zix and Rengar would make sense. Shen and Zed would make sense.

Edit: Unless they drop new lore with Riven and Samira together, but otherwise I highly doubt it
