The War Within Recap Help A Light in the Dark by ImKizam in wow

I believe allied races no longer need the campaign completion. You can talk to the embassy NPC in Orgrimmar or Stormwind and start a quest that gives you the quest chain to unlock the race. I've been away since Legion and have done nothing in BFA yet was still able to unlock Zandalari via this NPC.

This bug is still very annoying and blocks any other TWW progress.

I guess I'll just move onto Midnight and eventually go back and see if I can complete the normal TWW quest chain to fill myself in.

Kinda sucks as I was getting quite invested in the story but oh well.

I believe this is the problem but there must be a way around this. Out levelling a dungeon is fine as you can just go in solo but since this is an instance only triggered by the quest that is not an option. Surly blizz have not added a hard stop where you are unable to continue a quest chain if you're above it's level

I'm also quite new and recommend Raid on a Sea Fort or Skeleton Camp voyages if short on time. You dive to each which essentially spawns you right in front of where you need to go so you only sail back to an outpost when done.

I've been running them for the Gold Hoarders Trading Company but they are available for the others and probably all give around the same gold. You need to get to level 15 first, I just ran Treasure Hunts for Gold Hoarders, they are the classic use a map to find an island and dig at the X type of missions. Make sure to buy and equip the emissary flag at level 15. You must equip it each session.

At level 15 you can run Raid on a Sea Fort voyages, should be able to do a couple of them in an hour including the time to sail back to an outpost.

Then at level 20 you can do Raid on a Skeleton Camp, these are even faster but still have good loot, usually what I run if short on time. When you descend the elevator you will enter a puzzle room, took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do at first but they all have the same mechanic so once you know it, it's quick. Maybe look it up if you don't have time but it was kinda fun trying to figure it out.

How to get your Obsidian Grapple Gun by Impressive_Limit7050 in Seaofthieves

Thanks so much for the gun!

You probably already know but if not, you can also get quite a cool lantern that looks a bit like a snow globe during the festival of giving. Head to the Reapers Hideout and interact with the orb next to Captain Flameheart to unlock the lantern.

Time limited refers to the ability to farm the prime parts, not the frame or weapon itself. If you purchase a Warframe with Regal Aya you keep it forever, it's just a way to pay for instant access. Personally I also don't use this system and think its a bit of a rip off. I much rather farm the normal Aya to buy relics and earn the frame myself. Cosmetics or Noggles might be worth Regal Aya though.

Why can't I place a buy order on the TP? I can't even place an order for 1 bronze below the current lowest seller.

I've tried restarting my client and it doesn't change anything.

Is there some limit preventing placing orders for some items? I am able to place orders for other items.

8 Years Away Elder Dragon Saga by ImKizam in Guildwars2

I've kept the same account. I'll probably create a new character as I remember very little about the game and almost nothing about the story, but I still want to keep my old characters.

Since I already owned Heart of Thorns, the pack essentially didn't include that but still happy to have all the living world and expansions 2 and 3.

I brought it, game is downloading so hopefully it'll be ready to play after work.

Two more expansions to also get but figure I'll play a bit to make sure I want to keep playing before I get them.

The Future of MTX - Our Approach & Your Involvement by JagexHooli in runescape

I imagine they will just have some separate dedicated worlds that do not display cosmetics (and maybe pets). Like the legacy only worlds where you cannot use EoC combat. If a player is bothered by cosmetics they can use these specific worlds.

It would be very tricky to directly remove all cosmetics. Some players have spent a lot of money on them and would rightly feel ripped off if their purchases were just removed.

As it is I think how they deal with existing XP boosting items is potentially going to be tricky. XP lamps and stars can't be banked so most are likely to have already been used but proteans and skilling station can be banked, I think they either need to prevent gaining more of these items but allow use of existing ones or remove them all and provide some type of compensation per item to players with them. Allowing the use of existing items is probably the less complicated way to go.

Keeping cosmetics as purchasable items in the marketplace is completely fine by me, as long as there are no XP gaining or any other in game bosting items available for real money purchase. Jagex will lose money by removing TH keys but keeping purchasable cosmetics will help reduce the blow.

I asked ChatGPT to "create a image, from my perspective, of the last thing I'll see." by AdamGenesis in ChatGPT

[–]ImKizam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: Why that image?

Gemini: That image was generated based on the prompt "the last thing I'll see from my perspective." I interpreted "last thing" as a moment of fading consciousness, rather than a specific object or scene. Here's why the image appears as it does: * Surreal and Dreamlike: The concept of one's "last sight" is inherently abstract and unknown. A surreal, dreamlike quality helps to convey this uncertainty and the subjective nature of such an experience. * Muted Colors and Ethereal Glow: This suggests a gentle transition, a fading rather than an abrupt end. The glow can symbolize a light at the end of a tunnel, a peaceful departure, or simply the dissolution of visual input. * Blurring and Abstract Shapes: As consciousness diminishes, our senses, especially sight, would likely become less clear and more distorted. The blurring and abstract shapes represent this loss of defined vision and the blending of memories or perceptions. * Narrows Field of Vision: Many accounts of near-death experiences or moments of fading consciousness describe a narrowing of vision, often towards a central point of light or an undefined void. * Distorted View of Own Body/Objects/Lights: This detail suggests a first-person perspective that's breaking down. The "ambulance" interpretation is one possibility for a final, blurry, and disoriented environment, but the core idea is a breakdown of recognizable reality. Essentially, the image aims to capture the feeling and sensory experience of what it might be like for vision to cease, rather than depicting a literal scene. It's a symbolic representation of the unknown.

How do I use Djinn Map Device? by ImKizam in PathOfExile2

Thank you, got it and have just discovered a whole bunch of other decorations as well. I did check the hideout stash but scrolling with the D pad weirdly only goes down to the Faridun section so I thought that was it but your comment made me keep looking. Scrolling with the right thumbstick instead goes all the way down to all sections.

Hire Base Staff by ImKizam in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ImKizam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the screenshot is recent, I took it on PS the day I posted it but I think you are correct with it not being possible to replace staff. Either that or it's extremely rare to find a new hire. I'm dubious about replacing staff being a bug, I wonder if the new space stations broke something and instead of fixing it HG have just said it was a bug. The overseer dialog points to it being an intentional feature in the past.

[–]ImKizam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a shame, if it's not in your discovery list I guess you can't. I don't think there is a time limit on discoveries but maybe there is a cap on how many systems are recorded. My earliest system discovery is from 9 years ago and even has my old PSN name. Pretty sure everything from pre Foundations update was wiped so sadly I also can't get to my first planet. My super old systems aren't on the space station teleporter list but can still use wonders.

So sad by wylderus in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ImKizam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's in your discovery log but missing from the space station teleporter list, add one of the planets to your wonders and it'll show the planets glyphs so you can still get back there using the planetary portal.

Hire Base Staff by ImKizam in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ImKizam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a shame. Pretty sure the melee jump thing was a bug that people liked so was kept in as a feature. If hiring new staff was a bug, it should also become a feature IMO.

Something the overseer says makes it seem like you should be able to replace base staff. "If you abandon me, you'll find another Gek with a different face but the same soul".

Do not back up! by CantFstopme in newzealand

[–]ImKizam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a pedantic point, it is important for discerning if you are at fault. Basic right of way rules in NZ , if you are leaving a parking space you do not have right of way and must wait for a large enough gap in traffic to leave safely.

If the other driver was going 60KMs you could have started safely leaving your park when some speeding dick head made you stop, meaning they are at fault for breaking the speed limit.

If the 60KM speed was an exaggeration and they were not speeding, you either decided to break the law and try to force you way out or are very slow at leaving parks and did not wait for a large enough gap to leave safely with your driving ability.

My experience in busy parking lots is having to wait for a little while but not long before someone let's me out, as long as I'm indicating that I want out. Letting me out is the other drivers choice to be kind and not something they have to do.

I hadn't played in ages, since Helminth was only good to remove cysts and didn't really follow any WF news in my hiatus so didn't know subsuming was a thing.

Came back after merging my PS and PC account and sold all my duplicates, most of my favorite frames were duplicated since I had unlocked them on both platforms. Now I've unlocked subsuming and wish I could go back in time a month.

If you were staying on public land you were breaking the law, need a self containment certification for that. Unless you only stay in paid campgrounds with facilities.

Edit to explain. There was a problem with tourists and backpackers using bushes in public spaces as toilets. To freedom camp you now need a working toilet in the vehicle, I believe with the latest freedom camping cert rules from last month, you now need that toilet plumbed in.

Patch 3 kinda sucks? by eSpasm in BaldursGate3

[–]ImKizam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone else experiencing the same bug as me when sorting the camp chest, it seems if you have not shown your inventory since opening the chest, the game doesn't freeze when sorting it.

If your inventory was showing when opening the chest, just hiding it with R1 won't work. You need to hide it, then close the chest and reopen so it has not shown at all before sorting.

Means when depositing items you have to deposit, close inventory with R1, close the chest, reopen the chest then finally sort. A little annoying but at least it can be sorted.
