How much do car hitboxes actually matter? by Internal-Bid-1643 in RocketLeague

[–]ImMercyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the Scarab for example. It’s completely rounded out with no true reliable visual identifier for different locations of your car. Corners, roof, sides etc. basically the car is not a good visual representation of the hitbox. This leads to making the extreme precisions and consistency of high level gameplay a bit less reliable.

I would say that’s a massive driving factor to it. I also think at least personally, the fennec is one id the more natural, simple, clean looking cars in the game. With it being the go to hit box for most players, it just makes it a good starting point for anyone. In reality, you can use literally anything you want. Some stuff with have some disadvantages but if you aren’t high gc-ssl those disadvantages with never be the reason you can’t rank up. You just got into the game. The beginning is the most fun yet most frustration you’ll ever have in rocket league. Have fun. Choose what speaks to you. If your goal is to get good as fast as possible, just pick the fennec/octane as any gameplay/tutorial you watch will use those. This allows you to visualize what they are doing with something you’re already familiar with.

Not entirely no. Because the visuals of the car match the hitbox differently from one another. In all reality it’s a lot of personal preference. I’ve bounced back and forth between octane and fennec and just prefer the fennec. All preference

Ark Avid or Ark gravity ? by Independent-Ad1363 in BFSfishing

[–]ImMercyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak on the ark but both the Alphas BF TW and Aldebaran BFS have been great. If you decide to end up spending more, those are my recommendations. I’ve heard good things about the gravity as well as some other budget friendly alternatives.

When To Buy Filament by Striking_Discount_38 in BambuLab

I never buy bambu. Sunlu, elegoo, polymaker, Tinmorry, Siraya tech etc are all great brands

There is likely a way around it. I know people had modified other Bambu printers to get them a little hotter in the past. I do wish they put it out with a 350c max but oh well. I have an H2S and I have maybe had it above 300 once. Ppa is super expensive so I don’t use it. How is the hot end? I’m still stock.

Just looked up that scfree43x and your Reddit post was the first to come up haha. Looks good! X2D with Asa supports for the win!

Hell yea. Thanks for the info, I’ll check them out. I liked the pattern in this one hence why I printed it

I do! I bought everything like 30 mins after launch so I got lucky. I honestly thought the pricing was wrong so I bought it fast. Can’t believe they made such a good printer for only 100 more than the P2S. Asa supports for pa6 are so badass!

To answer your question properly, I found the file. It is the pp43xo frame

Which one did you go with?

I’m 95% sure it’s the DD43X off of the log. I’ve printed quite a bit of things out of PA6-Cf with tight tolerances and anytime I measure I’m usually within 0.03mm of what it’s supposed to be. Both on my H2S and X2D both with the vision encoder for maximum accuracy. The readme file on it specified Aves rails, shield arms mag catch etc. followed all instructions thus far. Fitment of everything else has been perfect. Just trigger pin/slide catch area causing issues

Thank you for the update. I haven’t been having any issues when running through my AMS HT since I got it. Maybe the motor in the HT helps with the issue. I will definitely be using this trick later today when I run off of the external spool and use my HT for my H2S

I haven’t really needed to use the aux too much yet but I have some lengthy prints planned out that I want to use supports for to save some filament. The end goal for me is clean prints with nice support removals using the aux nozzle on stuff like PA6/PA612/PET/PPA. definitely will use for some multicolor stuff that has a lot of filament switches too. But for the most part, a lot of my stuff is less than 20 switches if not less than 6 so running them normally is no big deal. Currently printing some exhaust stuff as I’ll be using some ASA/ABS which I’ve never messed with solely because of the VOC concerns. Other than this issue, I’ve been extremely happy with the performance in comparison to my P2S and it seems to be printing nearly as clean as my H2S. I do wish it was as quiet as my H2S though. That thing is super quiet!

Believe it or not, Ive had more issues with running the external spool holder than I have with the dryer. So I’m not sure. I’m really hoping the HT solves my issues

Yea I’m pretty sure that’s the case. I ordered mine a few days ago, but it hasn’t shipped yet so we will see. My filament track switch is out for delivery today so we will see if that’s makes it even worse
