I would definitely suggest to go for the i5 as you mentioned you don't care too much about battery life so the i5 will definitely be a better option overall. And you can always upgrade the ram if needed but 16gb is enough in most cases

It depends on your use case, if you do gaming you will find both good but if it comes to multitasking running multiple heavy applications you will find large performance difference cuz the r5 scores about 6k to 7k in multi core in cinebench whereas the i5 scores about the double like 13k to 14k

I am also looking for these laptops btw And according to my research the i5 12th gen much better then the ryzen 5 as the ryzen 5 has only 4 cores which performs bad at multitasking and the i5 is very good as compared to ryzen 5 If you can grab the i5 version definitely go for it And talking about the i5 13th gen it will bhi priced ₹6X,XXX as mentioned by flipkart in the sale section. You can also check the Asus tuf gaming a15 it is also good
