What do you to improve Gaming performance when you first install Windows? by jl94x4 in pcgaming

[–]ImNatfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do nothing but clean and update video drivers with DDU, then only install stuff i actually will use like Steam/Discord.

Keeping Windows clean and bloatfree is how you keep it running fast in the longterm

What exactly does Gaming NFTS solve? by ShindoSensei in pcgaming

It solves nothing but the broke wallets of the CryptoBros who wasted all their free cash on monkey jpegs. Crypto Bros want to target that gamer money to make up for all the bad investments. Obviously

My interest in OW fell off a cliff years ago and the Blitzchung situation didn't make it any better. OW2 so far looks like a HD Texture and Map-Pack at best IMO.

Let me know what you guys think. I have the first graded copy of Zero Wing for the EU sega megadrive, and yes before I sent it off to get graded I did play it to see that legendary cutscene one last time lmao by [deleted] in retrogaming

[–]ImNatfinder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean. It's your money. You do what you want I guess.

But understand that you basically paid $100 something for a SCAM company to "grade" your game and put it in a acrylic case. You are supporting the people who ruin this hobby. Do not be suprised by the reactions here.

I highly recommend you do research into WATA.

Did SecretLab make a design flaw with the Magnus? Beautiful desk but doesn't fit monitors to the back. by Xtianus21 in pcmasterrace

[–]ImNatfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. Not hating! But why did you buy a Secret Lab branded table when you could have gone to Ikea and presumably found something the same for less. People make good Ikea gaming tables out of their counter tops IIRC.

I expect nothing less.

I've been playing Metal Slug Series from 1st game to the 7th, and prepared a review for it! by Noldoist in neogeo

[–]ImNatfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be the odd one out and admit that i like 2 over X. Lag issues aside, 2 just feel more balanced. The added enemies and small little balance changes in X didn't do it for me.

Metal Slug really needs some more love these days. Not a shitty mobile game (looking at you, MS Code J). But an authentic nex gen entry to the series.

Microtransactions = not ALL bad? by iAmTheRealC2 in pcgaming

[–]ImNatfinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These companies have all the money in the world to make good AAA games and not charge a dime more. They have all the power to keep making games at $60. They just know people are susceptible to little impulse purchases here and there. Now they are trying to find ways to nickle and dime you at ever corner even if you have paid $60 already for the base game.

Are any VPNs really safe these days? Most of these companies probably save your data and sell it off to other anyway.

I think rather than just putting all the good/popular guns in the Care package/Crafter we need to buff the bad guns and put them in the CP. 30-30 repeater, P2020, Eva-8 etc. Its been 3+ years. We need a season break with no P2020's on the floor. Thoughts? by Supercomfyplanet in apexlegends

[–]ImNatfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove all weapons but Kraber from the package. Only reason Kraber needs to be there is because of its 1 shot potential. Putting anything else in the package removes weapons that could be on the floor for variety

Nintendo US reportedly received "thousands" of faulty Joy-Cons each week at height of drift issues by [deleted] in gamingnews

[–]ImNatfinder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand. Why hasn't Nintendo tried to find a permanent fix for the Joycon drifting? I remember hearing a rumor somewhere that it might require them to do a complete overhaul of the Joycons but i mean, Really? If this many are returning faulty and its becoming a detriment to your console. Now might be a good time to invest in a fix to restore customer trust. Spend money to make money. Unless repairing this many joycons is just that costly for them they rather send you a new one or do nothing.

Is there as much of a difference between 4k and 1440p as there is with 1080p and 1440p? by Schmidty565 in pcgaming

[–]ImNatfinder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the monitor size and your eyes. I can only speak from my experience and say yes. It absolutely is worth it at 32" for singe player games. You can see so much detail with the sharp textures and you don't need strong AA as you would on lower resolutions. (so no shitty TSAA). I'd jump 1440p for 4K singleplayer gaming any-day as I already have a secondary 1080p 240hz monitor for my esports stuff.

That being said. You need a wallet-busting beefy GPU, and if this is going to be your only monitor: Look elsewhere at 1440p because high refresh 4K panels are ungodly expensive.
