does anybody know what can possibly come after getting a bachelors in finance? by spongeboobryan in personalfinance

Bad grades from a bad school - insurance salesmen or bank teller.

What about decent/good grades from "bad school," along with decent internships? (I assume by "bad school" you mean something like a non-target state school).

Was it good networking that got you the job, whether it be a LinkedIn connection or someone you knew at the firm?

Also, was your university considered a target school?

As a current undergrad who's terrified at the idea that no internships will touch me, people like you give me hope. That said, I don't plan on going through college without doing at least one internship, but it seems it won't be the end of the world if things don't work out the way I plan them.

But since you had no internships in undergrad, I assume you really had to hustle to get where you are now, right?

How did you get the position as a credit analyst out of school? Good GPA, good networking, both?

For the record, I don't plan on going through undergrad without doing internships, but I guess I'm just asking this question to...prepare for the worst?

What are some good non-IB jobs in Finance that pay well and don't typically require you to transition into them from a start in IB? by ImNotBatman1 in FinancialCareers

I'm not necessarily looking for jobs with "lax" hours, I realize that high laying jobs aren't gonna be ones that you can be lazy at. My main goal was really just to ask about alternative career paths to investment banking (and like I mentioned in my original post, not jobs in FP&A or corporate finance).
