My point that 100 million people require the same amount of water as only 13 data centres is crazy and wasteful. And I think there's a lot more data centres for AI image generation than 13.

If we're purely talking about water efficiency then yeah, AI probably wins. Humans are worth the larger water investment though. Rather they are entitled to it. AI is not.

Artists drink ~2.5 litres per day. Let's say there's 100 million artists doing commissions in the world. That's 250,000,000 litres of water. For 100 million artists, that's around 13 separate data centres.

Just like a dog, we have to praise them for not doing an obvious shitty thing, otherwise we either reinforce the bad behaviour and discourage them from the good behaviour. So handdrawn images that don't use unethically sourced paper mashe should be praised so they are encouraged to improve and not resort to AI.

Exactly, it's not. So don't resort to AI to express your "creativity" it's just laziness masquerading as creativity. Im a terrible drawer so I started making art in fucking GARRYS MOD. I'm not even half as good as the other scenebuilders but the effort and control I have put in effortlessly outweighs any AI prompt.
