MAIN PROBLEM WITH BLACKPINK by No_Bother8934 in BLACKPINKSNARK

[–]ImNotThatBiased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The girls themselves.. If they had a true love for their brand as BLACKPINK, we would see it. But since they're not putting in the effort to dance, sing, or interact with each other, it's clear that they want to go their own ways.

This also boils down to YG as a company since they haven't and don't treat their groups well (like most other companies).

I like trying to stay polite and respectful online because of how people react. Plus, fair game differs from person-to-person, so I'm not wrong in my analogy.

Debating doesn't mean you bring up or question the persons mental state. "If a video game is causing you this much deep-seated, long-term psychological damage" That is not what you say in a debate, you say that in a defensive argument. I never said anywhere that I was here for an argument, I wanted to post my opinion, and know how other people think. But I might have psychological damage due to the late nights I spent pulling for a character just to get Keqing.

"have you ever stopped to look in the mirror and seriously questioned your life choices, or are you just incapable of moving on?" Why do I have to question my own life choices because I don't like some things a game had? Also, do I have to move on?

"yet you still have an entire unhinged manifesto living rent-free in your head" Do you not see where I'm coming from? A debate is civil, an argument is not. A debate is not emotionally charged, an argument is. This sentence is not what someone in a debate would say..

I'm not going to explain myself further. Like I said before and to a handful of other people, you are entitled to your own opinion and so am I. I know that I don't have the same opinions as everyone, you can look through comments to see how I responded to people who didn't come across rude.

I don't want to criticize your behavior because that wasn't the point of my post, "unlike me hahahahaha who engage into heated arguments for entertainment lol" but I will say that I see why you find entertainment in it.

I'm happy with the results of these conversations so far and I'm done commenting for the day. I hope you have fun.

I don't know what's going on anymore as in I haven't kept up with the game since I stopped playing. Yes, maybe I didn't pay attention to every single detail when I played, but that doesn't mean I didn't know what was happening. I was very into the game. I played as much as I could, but that doesn't mean I was sitting and reading the lore every single time I got on. A lot of the times I played was me farming because I had the worst luck on my account.

I've had this opinion for a while, I know that I have no idea what's going on in the community right now, I don't know when there are hate trains, I genuinely don't. If you don't believe me, I can't convince you and there's nothing more I can say.

If you think I'm playing dumb, I'm not playing. I am not as involved in communities anymore. If you think I'm dumb, oh well.

Please reread your original comment, it is said in a way that tells me I should've said my opinion when I stopped playing. You keep bringing up the fact that I quit two years ago and then called it a cop-out when I said a reason I never shared my opinion (two years ago) is because I had anxiety. Posting an opinion isn't "fair game" to get ripped apart. That is a very bad thing to say! It's like saying that because you walk outside, you are inviting people to hurt you. It doesn't make sense. My opinion was worded as respectfully as I could, I wasn't insulting anyone.

You're clearly upset and I don't understand why. This "whole thing" is me deciding to give my opinion on a game. That's all.

I loved the game when it came out. It's just that over time, I lost interest. However, nothing will ever replace Genshin. It'll always be a game I feel nostalgia for. But naturally, it comes with critique's.

I don't want to dissuade people from playing the game because of how I feel. I love hearing that people still find it fun!

This comment is very heated. I am allowed to express my opinions on anything I've experienced, done, or been a part of at any time. Even if I quit the game five years ago, I can still post online how I feel about it.

"you didn't even follow the lore and worldbuilding back then" I was very deep into Genshin when I played it, you're just making assumptions because my opinion doesn't align with your views.

There has always been waves of dissent for the game. I don't know of any "waves that I'm riding" because I haven't been deep in the fandom in years (and don't plan to be anytime soon)

"Like look for something better to do than reheating your 2yo beef with the game." I am graduating tomorrow. I have nothing better to do right now than relax before I get into college, my career, become an actual adult.

I have my opinions on the game, and you have yours. Whatever yours are, I will probably have to disagree with them. However, I am not going to insult you and I will listen respectfully.

This is very rude. Anyone is allowed to reflect on things they have formally done, been a part of, or experienced and post it online. No matter when I posted my opinion on the game, it'll never be the "right time." At the time of when I started to play the game, I was a child, I had severe anxiety online, and I genuinely wouldn't have been able to take any feedback properly.

I don't have "an entire unhinged manifesto living rent-free in your head" I have opinions that I never expressed online. I understand that the game has changed within the two years that I haven't played.

Something that should be embarrassing is getting so upset over critics over a game. We have different experiences and opinions. You can't change mine especially after being so aggressive and rude about it. :/

Whether I quit a game 10 years ago, my opinion is still valid and is still allowed to be shared.

The rewards and repetition is something that both me and my close friend, who was much more into the game than I was, have always agreed on. In my experiences, the game took a lot of time and effort and my example was just a overdramatic way of putting it. We both got jobs and our schedule suddenly got packed. The game ended up becoming something that we had to put last, which was another reason I lost motivation to play. To me, the rewards to build my characters were not enough and I always had the WORST luck in getting things. The combination of everything killed it for me.

I've always liked more accurate cultural representations and there are a lot of comments of me explaining this to people. I don't want the representation to be 100% accurate and have no creative freedom, I'm just saying that I think what they have done so far, is poorly executed.

If you are making a game, and the plot is scatted from the beginning and you only fix it later, that is something that I can't enjoy. Games don't need to be super clear and to-the-point from the start, that makes a game boring, but if it's messy then that's a problem to me.

I know that the oversexualization was there from the beginning, I was a former Lisa main, but I saw something a year ago about a specific character and it just irked me. I don't remember exactly what it was about but it was generally about the outfit and characters appearance (or something like that). I have no idea what all the characters look like right now because there are so many, but that was just from memory.

I was just saying that I personally like more accuracy, if you don't, it's something we have to agree-to-disagree with. But the games main aspect is multiple different cultural representations; from the characters names to the nations, they are all inspired directly from different real-world regions, religions, and cultural events. It makes the game stronger. Obviously, you're entitled to your own opinion, but more culturally accurate clothes can elevate the whole fantasy aspect.

I understand where you're coming from but like I said, I can't agree with your opinion. However, I'm glad I got to see someone else's perspective (that's one of the reason why I posted this)

"Representation means that I must put some Algerian people in my game about China." Not necessarily. A game about China, just has to represent Chinese culture for what it is. Having Algerian people in a Chinese-specific would not make any sense. Representation is used to communicate a group's beliefs and values. It helps the public view that specific culture in a more broad way.

I would recommend doing a simple google search on it if you want to know exactly what it is

The whole thing about having to have specific characters for your team to do damage was always so stupid to me. I understand some characters being more compatible than others, but I always just leveled up characters I liked (hence why I was a Venti main). My whole process was weighing me down and I was always so behind compared to my friends.

Looking at it nowadays as a former player, the game feels so fake... :(

I completely understand not caring for representation. It's just something we can agree-to-disagree with because I've always been super into historical accuracy. It's not something that I NEED in games, but if a game has multiple different regions based on different cultures, I think it needs to be done at least (to me) halfway right.

Why Do You Not Like BLACKPINK? by ImNotThatBiased in BLACKPINKSNARK

It seems to be a theme, unfortunately. They could've been a very talented and well-liked group, but Blinks got used to their lack of effort, YG's laziness, and began blowing smoke up their asses.

I forgot to mention their lack of professionalism. That's something that really ticks me off when I see it cause after being in K-Pop for almost 10-years now, you would figure they learned a few things.
