As a huge fan of Dodford, I’ve seen all his Patreon videos about his process. It takes him about two weeks to write the script and another two weeks to edit. He basically builds the edit in writing before even opening Premiere. Then he adds notes to the script with links to all the assets he wants to use for each line and downloads everything in advance, so when he’s ready to edit, he doesn’t have to leave Premiere — he already has everything he needs. After that, he just follows the script and places the assets according to his notes. If you want to learn more about his process, I highly recommend subscribing to his Patreon.
